Aperol Spritz is not a hype, Italians has been drinking this aperitif in the early years of the 20th century, specifically around 1917. About 107 years ago. Florence is my favorite city in Italy! My favorite Basilica was Santa Croce which was closer to the river. They have so many people entombed there like Machiavelli and Galileo. I bought leather boots and gloves and a purse! Love the leather😍. The only thing I didn’t love was the bread served with dinner. It has no salt! All due to a 12th Century trade dispute😞

We LOVED Firenze! So funny that my guy and I enjoyed many of the same places as the two of you, especially in Florence. The gelato stops, restaurants, meal choices, churches, museums - David, Michelangelo Piazza, leather stores, and yes Matt the aperol spritz did taste like DayQuil! One side adventure we would recommend during your return - learn to ride a Vespa under the Tuscan sun! It was soo exhilarating!

I just found your blog on Florence! I had to watch! We lived there for 3 yrs! It’s a rather large city but a hometown feel. We lived in Milano for 4 yrs before we moved to is an amazing place to live. We first went there for a day/night/day stop on our way to Rome. As we were leaving the treni stazione, we both agreed that we could live here. Never imagined it would actually happen. Many of the places owed are places we have been. Sorry you missed the leather market by piazza Reppublicca. I was looking for a coat before me moved back to the states and a dealer took us to his storefront leather store…. I found my coat! To prove it was real Italian leather, the sales lady put a ice lighter on my coat sleeve to prove it doesn’t burn. Now I about freaked out but wow! Italy is our second home and can’t wait to back for a visit next year! Ciro n Sons by the Medicci Duomo has amazing Florentine steaks too. We ate there our last night in Florence. The cool thing about Italy and it’s businesses is if you get to know them, they treat you like family! In Milano we spent a lot of our days off at Lago Como! One jewelry store owner always gave me an additional necklace for more that half the cost! YOUR VLOG MADE ME SO HOMESICK, ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Wow, I was there, I feel like in a former lifetime, decades ago!!!! I LOVED Florence, then Venice and finally Rome! All three were absolutely AMAZING!!!! Trip of a lifetime when there weren’t long lines and we went on a tour that arranged all of our tours to everywhere in every city. First was London, then Paris, Switzerland, finally Italy, all in 17 days. We were young in our early thirties and so we excited to go to Europe before having a family! Just found your channel and am so glad you guys have the opportunity to travel and make money doing it!

Your video reminds me so much of our recent trip in June. We literally did almost everything you did (sandwiches, cathedrals, David, gelato, the Dayquil drink), but you were much more successful at the dome. We only got to the inside dome circle platform area before we had to turn around and head out. We thought we were going to die (lol!). Now every time we go anywhere (I mean anywhere) with stairs, my kids yell in unison..."No More Stairs!"

Terrific video! I've been to Florence several times, absolutely one of the 5 best cities on the planet. Your video vindicated my decision to not attempt to climb the stairs at both the Duomo and the Tower. The fact that you guys did BOTH of those in the same day is mind boggling. We were in Florence in May of this year...thanks for the tip on Eduardo's! Best Gelato! Know, though, the line into the cathedral goes very fast. We thought it looked very long, but we were inside in less than 10 minutes!
