Worked beautifully. I used to go to a smaller park so this was never a problem. Now at Keystone, the massive jumps were given me trouble on where and how to set up and take off. Went out the next day and pounded out a nice 720

Someone once told me if you think you're going fast enough; go faster. It's so true.
@kosycat15 жыл бұрын
ahhh it really depends, but kinda when it comes to park jumps at least, but once you know the right speed you don't wanna necessarily push it past that

hands down... this is the best video ever!! your spins look sooooooooo stylish!! perfectly explained, i think i watched it about 100 times in the past 5 years, and as a result of this i cn now do 720s - thx guys for your awesome videos!

Your so clean in your spinning, I've been riding for 4 years and I'm no where close to your degree of chill, clean, straight spins! props man! and this is a great how to! brought me to 3's and 5's in one season!
@XxTippoxX15 жыл бұрын
Hands down best tutorial for spins. His spins look absolutely effortless, where as mine need refining. Many people can do 3's but little to nobody does them while carrying speed, which has them landing on top of the lip, which destroys the landing and the person's legs. Make sure you can clear the kicker / table before you try anything like this (as the tutorial states). Thanks for the great video. Keep em' coming for more advanced tricks.

This is definitely the best video on youtube for teaching spins. The set up carve is extremely important! The biggest problem i see with people new to rotations is that they initiate a turn while still on the jump, so they have already spun 90 degrees before leaving the jump. this makes the rest of the rotation difficult and is cheating. Thanks for posting!

Wow. @snowboardaddiction this was a great tutorial. This upcoming season I'm going to start trying spins since last season I got comfortable with my straight airs and basic grabs. I don't hang out with a snowboard crew or crowd so I would have NEVER known these things. Thank you so much for this video. Now I literally can't wait for it to start snowboarding here in CO!!!!

The most helpful tip I can give to anyone with spinning is to take off without scrubbing the jump or being at any angle when you leave the lip. It makes it harder to land clean.

Nicely said. I've been spinning for years and never passed a front 3 off my heel and the occasional accidental 5. I'll definitely bring this with me up this year. Subrscribed!

@Voochl Backflips are easy take as few speed checks as possible, stay tucked (crouch on your approach your first couple times it helps a lot), pop of your toes, stay committed in the air don't panic or you'll under rotate. Finally make sure you spot your landing

Thanks for the video! I easily do cork 540 and rodeos but still find this interesting and learning. I have some problems with my spins by going of to the side and losing speed by carving a lot and thats because I turn to early like shown at the end and I didn't really know what to do about it until now.
@molomono979510 жыл бұрын
I've found if you do a nose roll 180 off the lip you spin like crazy. So that might be useful to practice for those who can't get enough rotation.
@molomono979510 жыл бұрын
***** I confirm this, it only works on ramps smaller than 15ft, then again if you are hitting a 15ft kicker you should have more than enough time to get the board around 360 without doing stuff like this.

@kosycat15 жыл бұрын
You should be able to spin a back 3 on a 10-15 foot jump your first time with a minimal injury especially if it's soft but if you live on the east coast like Ido, god have mercy lolol. Might be hard to get a grab in though, need 20-40 ft air for that

Hey Snowboardaddiction! Loving the vids! You make it look so easy! I have two questions :) would be awesome if you could answer! This season I spent some time trying to nail tamedogs, but for some reason when ever I landed my body was at an angle leaning over my toes, resulting in bail. I think it's down to my take-off but maybe you guys know for sure :)? Also, it would be cool if you could do a tutorial on binding positioning for different uses, like park/piste/offpiste! THANKS! Respect!
@XarchetypeX13 жыл бұрын
@wktm125sx in my opinion, when you're doing it frontside, it's the easiest way to grab an frontside grad (e.g. "indy"), and when doing it backside, either a mute or a bs grab. I think it's the most natural and easiest way (and also not interfering with your rotation) to grab with your back arm... if you start your rotation with your back shoulder and you have to rotate it towards the front,

I know right?! Up here in Alaska we have some worldwide famous terrain, but for some reason none of our resorts will build nice perfect jumps like this. It's okay because I use the natural jumps the mountains give me, but I think it'd be so much easier to have a nice straight jump and soft landing.
