Hi Becks! I’m the one who did the tweed experiments without the proper tools. I giggled with glee as I heard you mention my attempt. I’ve watched all your podcasts since right after you started and you’ve always inspired me to just TRY things! You don’t let inexperience stop you, and you use the resources (like PLY) to figure things out. Thanks for making these videos and nudging us along. I mentioned your podcast to the PLY crew, BTW, and told them what a great job you are doing.

Hey Diane, what did you use exactly? I'm not a native speaker and I couldn't catch that bit. Ta! Congratulations!

Another good video! Thanks, Becks! About the too bright colours in that hand-dyed roving, have you thought/ tried to overdye it in a pot of tea? This I expect would mute everything down a bit.

I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying watching the back list for the 51 yarns series. Thank you for doing this.

Very interesting spin. Don’t know that I would try it or use it. I love how you added the bits.

wonder howmuch it cost to dip your toes making hand spun yarn?
@TinyFibreStudio2 жыл бұрын
Less than £10. You can buy a Kromski drop spindle for £8 and 100g of wool tops for around £1.80. You can reduce the cost further if you make a CD spindle. And some people may have easy access to cheap fibre.

Your tweed looks gorgeous! I wonder if I could use my over carded merino... I mean tweed prepped merino! Lol. Also, can you pleeeeeease tell us or show us or link to somewhere that tells me how you do your hair!!! It’s so gorgeous and I can’t figure it out!

Her hair is done the same way yarn is spun! She probably twists one half and holds it in her mouth while she twists the other half, then twists them together. Or maybe she has help.
