Tina, I’m so glad! It’s a great technique (and an easy one at that) to keep in your quilting back pocket :) Welcome to Faith and Fabric!

Christine, same for me! I've honestly had to refer back to my own video after so much time went by :D Haha!

Christe, anytime! This is one of my favorite tips. Spinning seams always seemed to be so intimidating; pull here, trim here, turn here...but it's honestly a pretty straight forward process with this method. Happy sewing to you!

Hi. Nice you label seams primary and secondary. ( could have used first sewn seam and second sewn seam). Good teaching strategy. Most are using this and that or this and this; that and that….who knows what they mean? Using more specific vocabulary makes for better teaching….(retired master teacher) thanks!

Hi Miric - thanks for the tips! It really does help to know proper terminology. Congrats on being a master teacher, and I appreciate your teaching on "first sewn seam" and "second sewn seam".

I’d like to see this technique on a more complicated block with several HSTs or pinwheels

That's a good idea! I'll add it to the idea list.

Im a new quilter. Does the thread not come out where you’ve opened up the seam a tiny bit? Thank you. X

Hi Dawn, it ever so slightly loosens but I've never once had an issue with it unraveling.
