Very good information. I wish there could be close up of the spool and delta while spinning. The light is neither here or there, but I would like to see what is on the spool.

I have many carded small rolags made from a Romney. They are very clean and airy. I am so new with my spinning wheel. My attempts have been uneven to say the least. I think more prep might help. Could I possibly use a diz with carded wool or his that only for combed wool?

Sure you can use a diz! Sometimes the fleece you get doesn't cooperate and spin how you want it to. Many times I just go with it and spin what the wool wants to look like - not sure if that makes sense.

This is great. Thanks for doing these little videos. I should probably post this on the other video where you're drum carding. But... I think you should get a new drum carder with a much finer-tooth cloth wrappy thingy. I say this because your fiber is so dang fine that it's just begging for finer-tooth prep. I wonder if there's anyone in your area who has one you could borrow and you could test it out. But I think you would be f'ing amazed at the difference (and so would your customers)... Just sayin'...

Well its funny you say that because as Majacraft dealer, I figure its about time I upgrade my carder to one of theirs. So I am in early phases of research on it. Thank you very much for the suggestion!

Thank you for the video. You make spinning look so easy and relaxing. I'm wanting to learn how to spin and I want to buy a wheel but I want something simple and not huge. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you

Thank you for the nice comment - I have been spinning on that same wheel for 20 years, so we have become very comfortable with each other. I am a Majacraft dealer, so have a very strong bias towards their wheels. I started spinning with a drop spindle and very soon after bought my Majacraft Rose. That is what I would recommend as it is a very high quality wheel that is very versatile. And size wise has a small footprint. Normally I would suggest going to a guild meeting and trying wheels there, but these days that really isn't practical or wise.
