I'm glad that other people can like this weapon, because I hate having to literally be in hugging range to even FEEL like a one-shot, and Carbon is my favorite Roller. Not even Splatanas, which are THE melee weapons of Splatoon 3, struggle so hard at even just a bit of range.

I was disappointed with the big swig. I find that it doesn’t do much for me. But thanks for the tips Squidmin. I truly want to get good with this weapon. Especially since I am a roller lover myself

Splatterscope has pretty much been my favourite weapon since Splatoon 1, but now I think Big Swig Express has finally taken that spot/is sharing it with the Splatterscope! ^^ It's so hecking fun, and another good thing about it not being used that often is that people sometimes underestimate it, nyuhuhuh XD

While the horizontal flick may lack damage as long as you get enough in you can wind up catching multiple people at once or one flick apart and if they run you can catch em with the vertical flick, i find myself getting a decent amount of splats actually, i think people are just impatient to some extent. That said i know it can really struggle and its kinda tough to do much about an anchor on your own, though a well timed ink vac with your team can do wonders you gotta wait for that opportunity.

I have mained the big swig since it's release and even though it took some time to get used to it's unique play-style, I can now say that it's a "good" weapon if used correctly in each mode. Especially now since it has increased damage and object damage! Furthermore, its main purpose is to be a support weapon, and to paint for your allies. It's entire kit is based around helping your allies, like how you can use a wall or the ink vacuum to guard an allies super jump spot, or to safely guard the rainmaker carrier by deploying walls or vacuuming your rainmaker holding ally to keep them safe from damage.

Are used to think the roller was trash until they gave it the update. It deserves increased object damage and made it from a 4 hit to a 3 hit kill I love it and it’s a weapon I use when I want massive ink coverage and also I like it because how it looks

As someone who mains both the lighter rollers (Carbons + regular Splat) and the brushes, Big Swig is my go if I'm feeling more in a supporting role over an killing role. I'm still not very good at it, though you're right when you say kills are more satisfying. I will continue to learn and fail from my Big Swig adventures (though I'm a little scared I'll forget how to kill - I'm already forgetting how to use the regular Splat roller). I need to learn how to suck up a Booyah Bomb.

One of the things I dislike about rollers in Splatoon 3 is that we no longer have splashdown. (Especially how they treated the Splat roller, my main weapon in Splatoon 2) When I get Splatoon 3, I might have to find something better. Maybe this roller would be better, but since it isn't quite the best (focusing on vertical, which I struggle to use in the first place) I'd have to see.
