My life has been litterally hanging on these. I think I'll leave it to the experts!

Can the same process be used for rope KM III?
@carlcox73324 жыл бұрын
Ive been searching for the same thing. Only option I could find when I bought the rope was a sewn eye. So thinking its non splicible
@albertoramos70849 ай бұрын
That rope is not posible to splice.

would this splice work on Mammut Performance static 10mm?
@TeufelbergerGroup Жыл бұрын
Hi. This splice was developed especially for our treecare ropes drenaline and tachyon and can't be done on other ropes so far. Sorry. :-)

What splice would you use for ocean vectran 6mm?
@TeufelbergerGroup2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there is no certified splice available for the ocean vectran

Would love to see the summary/description ^above include a link to the actual written instructions because you realllly need both the video *and* the written to pull this on 1st-try if not familiar w/ this type of splice (I'm actually using it on a different kernmantle that's a 'non-spliceable' I was determined to get spliced!) I see you guys down-grade splices VERY aggressively while Samson/Yale/etc seem to downgrade a spliced-rope by maybe 10% max, would love to know what accounts for this discrepency! I can't help but wonder if it's more of a symbolic rating since instruction-variation, splicer-error etc has to be given some non-zero values against a splice...but if done perfect it's hard to think you can't reliably get nearly-100% eye-splices if each 'leg' of the eye is only needed to be 50% of rope-ABS to not be weaker-than the rope, wouldn't it be more about doing a longer pre-crossover section *and* a crossover that's achieving sufficient 'bite' while being a longer crossover with a more-gradual merge inside.. Anyways thanks a ton for these instructions, I had 1 mess-up in 3 attempts (attempt #2) but as mentioned I'm splicing a different rope so am adapting/modifying these directions as well as modifying them to improve-on the splice (making lanyards w/ numbered splices on each end, so when putting these eye&eye ropes in a machine it'll be obvious which splice 'wins' so I can at leas break 6k if I can't get splices to-spec which is 8.6k for my rope..I suspect just minimal-modification copying of ^Drena's instructions' splices are giving at least 3/4 strength w/o any attempts to "improve" it / only trying to successfully complete splice)

Wird nicht durch die Reduzierung der weggeschnittenen Stränge an der Öse die Tragkraft reduziert? 😮 Sieht zum Schluss schön aus, aber ein Viertel des tragenden Materials ist ja weg 🗑... 🤔

You should make a video actually explaining the process.. how do you expect people to see your measurements and stuff like that?

See accompanying written literature otherwise dunno WTH you thought you could do with that^!! W/ the writtens + video it's easy as sin, takes a minute but is far simpler & more straightforward than, say, pretty much *any* chainsaw repairs I've ever done! (actually I was adapting it to a different kernmantle so would be even quicker if actually doing Drenaline) It's not splicing an eye in 3/4 TEC but it's not like putting an eye in Blue Moon, either.
