A great example of how to splice! Accurate clear and concise, Thank you!

I'm sold: paying $30 per professional eye is far less expensive than the time, effort, and doubt I'd experience trying to do it myself. Thank you for this presentation !

Eric - great video - I've used your info for Tachyon splices for years on climbing lines (love Tachyon with the ZigZag) and lanyards and had great results (rope worn out before splices). Thanks again for putting it back up. Have lots more tools (Brion wands etc) now than the old days but the methodology stands the test of time. Stay safe out there.

Excelente por la republicación. Este es el mejor video de splice en tachyon rope de la red. Gracias.

Why this method instead of the spLife?
@ericforsman778719 күн бұрын
For one thing it is stronger than the spLIFE method.
@johnrebman5718Ай бұрын
The eye will not have the full strength as the rope.
@ericforsman7787Ай бұрын
You are correct. A splice typically reduces the rated strength of a rope by 10-20%. But that is better than a knot, which reduces the strength of the rope even more.
