If you see the fake in isolation you’ve little chance of recognising it as a fake. Having a genuine watch helps but is by no means foolproof. I identified the fake but only because I was looking for a fake. Excellent video.

I got it right: It seemed like there was much less resistance when pushing start/stop on chronograph on the fake. Also, the chronongraph second hand did not reset instantly to exactly zero on the fake. Also the words on the back surrounding the middle seemed to be less deeply engraved on the fake.

This could also happen in a genuine watch. IMO it is indeed suggestive of a lower build quality in a fake watch but it is dangerous to assume that all watches with a misaligned chronometer hand are not genuine.

I've Got Each one you've done except for this one and I'll tell you... the AR is exactly what got me. they were so close and when I saw the AR on the one Crystal and not the other..that's what brightlings is famous for , having a Flawless anti reflective coating... scary stuff brother!!!! This is the first one that I spotted the fake correctly! It was the Breitling logo that gave it away for me. The white dial Bwing was so clean compared to the fake. I am now at a score of 1 out of 3.

Side be side there are visible differences 1. Lume pips size at 12,3,6 and 9, 2. Lume Color on the hands, 3. Misalignment and size of the date print in the date window, 4. Different font for the 5 in "15" and "45" on the bezel, 5. The minute markers on the bezel seem slightly misaligned at 1:30. 6. The etching of the circular pattern on the dial is not nearly as deep and crisp at 9:48 7. The "Automatic" print is larger and not as fine. 8. The little 40 marking on the tachymeter is misaligned with the 150 9. The printing is generally not as fine - especially the chronograph "30" at 12 o'clock 10. The chronograph hand doesn't reset to 12 o'clock. 11. The engraving on the back - as you said. 12. The Breitling logo entirely misaligned with the 1884 print But yeah, if just saw it in separation, I would assume it's genuine. Maybe only the misaligned date would make me sceptical, as it gives off a cheap-movement look.

The B wasn't centered over the T in Breitling. When you stopped it, it didn't go back to 60, it was off.

I don't know if you missed it but on the fake one the chronograph index didn't "set" on the 12 exactly. On the genuine it did. So I spotted the fake as soon as you reset the chronograph.

Chronograph hand did not sweep back to exactly 12. In addition, the shape of the crown appears a bit different from the original. Probably I was just lucky to guess correctly...thanks for the video!

Thank you for sharing this 😊. I spotted that the grey was the fake one from the placement of the date window and the quality of its print. Then when you turned both watches to show the back cases it became clearly abvious. An advantage for me is that I already own one; so it's easier for me to spot a fake, albeit it is really scary how the fake one is finished. Once again ... thanks for sharing 👍

If you look carefully on the side of the bezel between 11 and 12 you will see an engraved flying Breitling B... helps to make the decision!

I was able to suspect the dark one was fake. I happen to own a Breitling Chronomat, also being a white face dial. Mine has the gold accents around the bezel, the crown and push buttons. I have a leather strap but it has the Breitling clasp like that of the metal band. So that made me wonder. Also the stitching didn't seem as spot on. I don't know if that would really have made a difference but it was just things I noticed. Also as you brought out about the back, the lettering didn't seem as "crisp" or sharp, but I didn't know if that would have made a deciding difference.

When viewed under a jeweller's hood, many fine details become more evident. The fine details of fit and finish are impressive! The effort put into the making one of these time pieces is second to none! I don't own a Phillp Patek but I've seen Rolexes that don't have the same level of detail work. My Omega is nice but my Breitling is in a class of it's own!

The superclones now have indistinguishable movements unless you look at the gearing in them with a loupe. Without a loupe, you cannot distinguish anything between them anymore.

I guessed the fake based on the way the numbers are appearing on the date function. The 9 is not perfectly centered in the date window and this is pretty obvious. However, there are better replicas out there which are virtually indistinguishable from the original.

There is dust motes and a very large white flake on one of the dials that gave it away right away - Breitling QC would never allow that. Caseback also gave it away on the center stamp.

Anthony, my brother, It's great to see another review from you. I ended up guessing right. What told me the black dial was fake was the engraving on the caseback and the way the hands moved when you moved them. The 7750's, I've come to notice, have a very distinct hand movement when you twist the crown. It really is scary how good some of the fakes are (and have been for the last 10 years or so). Ah yes, you are right! For me: The chronometer hand didn't reset to 0 (in reset to just offset), and the rotating bezel has a weird font for the numbers when compared to the original.

Right! At first glance I was thinking the white faced watch but upon closer inspection there were two clues that swayed me. First was the hand didn't reset to zero on the black faced watch and it also looked like the T in the Breitling logo was slightly misaligned on the face.

One minute in, when you held up the white/silver I could see the hash marks around the 12 lume plot were shorter than the rest: Gen. The graphite one has longer hash marks: Fake. One of the reasons I know this is because I've done the gen dial (into rep) conversion a couple of times!

Good fake but spotted the fake straight away @10 and at @12-13 seconds in. Not only does the T in Breitling sit in the middle of the B - Badge but the hands are a clear give away also. Those fake hands are bent and very rough looking thanks to your excellent zoom. Great video by the way and cheers.

All the while watching I was thinking the black one was the fake because of the way the chronograph buttons pressed without clicking, the movement of the hands when turning the crown seemed way too loose. But when you pointed out the glass having a blue hue, I was convinced I had got it wrong and that it must be genuine. This is why I will never buy something like this from anywhere other than the manufacturer, or a reputable watch seller that provided guarantees.

finishing on hands at 00:13 is horrible on the replica. Anyone with a loupe can see the differnce. You don't pay for what the material cost is, you're paying for the fact that the Breitlings are made and tested to basically be perfect. The replica has no (or very little) development or testing overhead either.

I was able to spot the fake once they were turned over. Unfortunately I was only able to do so because I knew one was real and one was a fake. If you don't have the two case backs side by side, I think most people would struggle to spot the fake. The thing that I caught on to was the quality of the lettering on the case back. The serial number tip was also a good one. I will have to keep that one in mind moving forward. Good video.

Lume pip at 12 on the bezel looks to have an imperfection on the dark dial. The case was slightly sharper on the white dial so I was leaning that way. Since it was old I was thinking the AR was polished off otherwise it would have been too obvious. AR on the dark dial is good but if you've seen real Breitling AR you know it's even more blue/purple or invisible depending on the angle. Ultimately I had to look down at my replica which is known to have the correct sub dial font and it looked like the white so I figured that was the real one as the dark dial is too fat :-) Edit.... just checked out more pics and maybe the dark dial is supposed to have fatter subdial font. I really don't know. Aside for a little more case line sharpness really hard to tell.

A few things show the grey dial watch as the fake, mostly the case back which is very poor and the running second hand which is the wrong shape, but also the hour batons are too big, the printing on the sub dials is too heavy, the lume at 30 and 45 is wrong, the date wheel momement was inacurate, and yes the chrpnograph second doesn't reset correctly. But, the grey dial watch looks to have an AR coating on the crystal which seems to be missing on the white dial watch whch gave me a bit of doubt for a second. Looked at quickly and in isolation, apart from the case back and the running second hand, yes it would fool most people.

I work for a charity and someone donated 4 watches that are faulty . I fixed the bent hour hand on the breitling. After seeing this video I now know it's a fake because the rotor is blank just like the black watch in the video . The other watches were a Tag Heuer , a Rolex and a Augermars Piguet . We did contact the police and they took all four watches . Later we found out that they were all fakes but we're very good ones .

The Minnie badge next to calendar window on the black one is not dead exact. Everything breitling does is dead perfect. The lines that make the wings on the badge should not touch at the end of the tips. The ends of the anchor should not touch either and the “B” was not dead perfect. I have yet to see a replica make that badge correctly, they don’t take attention to detail in account like a luxury watch brand like breitling does. If those lines onthe wings touch at any point or the tips of the anchor do it’s a fake.That little badge is the first thing I look at. Would have been a little easier if you zoomed in on the top of the watch and held it still for a min. Look really closely at the badge and you will see what I’m talking about. You don’t even need to open the watch if this badge is not dead perfect. Alright!
