Just sharing that I love this type of content. And the more pic and vid overlays the better.

I also think Rolex is underrated. People keep shooting for Daytonas and Pepsis, but if you shoot for a datejust in a configuration you like, they are obtainable. Just try to show interest in as many ADs as possible and the call will come. You cant really beat the value and brand recogntion for about $8-12K that Rolex provides. A lot of people care about the brand that they are spending thousands on more than they like to admit. If you really want a Rolex, just be a patient and get one for those obtainable peices around $10K instead of convicing yourself that Omega or Breitling is the "smart" route.

the date number was way too small, looked crappy and the emblem next to it was not even centered overt the word 'Breitling' underneath it

Did you say that Rolex will provide the warranty once it’s been serviced by them? That’s awesome! Also, I know we should go to a dealer we trust but some of us don’t buy watches on a regular so don’t have these contacts handy. Anything is particular we should lookout for when slandering which dealer to buy from? You mentioned their expertise with the Rolex but I don’t know how to assess that.

This is the best of old and new. It is on the new platform. It is stiff and handles well and light. It uses reliable and holds a LS engine. But like old it has less electronics and is easy to work on. It still has the hide away lamps and the round tail lights. The interior is on par for a 25 year old car. It has most parts still available and is easy to repair. It was weight and cost as this car performs on par with cars much more expensive at the time it was built.

You’re the reason I purchased this same exact watch. I sold my Pepsi turtle for this. Contemplated selling it when it was away but realized this one is a keeper when it was on the wrist. Have it tucked away with my OG navy alpinist.

This is all very new to me. My son got me interested in watches about two months ago. Im 62 and never purchased anything but a G Shock. I have owned a successful consulting business for many years and went to the local AD and inquired about a Rolex. The salesperson did spend about an hour with me and of course tried to sell me an Omega which I did like. Eventually we got to the Rolex area and I am on a list for a Submariner. I like the buying atmosphere of this particular AD as we can sit around and drink whiskey and talk about watches. I just picked up a Hank Aaron limited edition Oris because I love baseball and really liked the watch. I also wanted to show the AD that I am serious about the Rolex and to give the young salesperson some business. Whole process is very strange but it doesn't really bother me for some reason.

my guess was correct, but the only things that court my eye were the center of the second hand wasn't quite as good and the fit of the end link wasn't as accurate
