Good stuff. Most of this stuff should be pretty obvious, but not everyone is in tune with what to look for with jerseys. Good video!

I’m convinced at some point collectors develop a ‘sixth sense’ on spotting fake jerseys. Even if it’s a new release you’re not familiar with, you already know something looks off.

For sure. I think you just get used to how the materials should look. Especially twill. The numbers on fakes always look so shiny compared to legit numbers

If you've collected jerseys at all, you've probably been burned at one time or another. Please do your research and when in doubt, ask around! This isn't always the case but a customized Fanatics Authentic Pro and even a customized 'authentic,' which is now called Premium are very, very expensive, if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is!

It never ceases to amaze me how people don’t know fakes are fake. The twill used for the names & numbers are clearly different as well as the fabric itself is just wrong. Then there’s the colors. Unless you’re getting an all white jersey, China manufacturers won’t get the color matched. Trust me…it’ll be wrong. Yeah…these are $20-30 each most sites, but remember: You get what you pay for. A Fanatics Breakaway is at least a legit replica and while they’re over $100, you won’t get clowned wearing it. My personal suggestion is to hit up the NHL shop and take advantage of the deals for existing Adidas stock. eBay sellers like Ben H. Sports & others will have legit replicas that are FAR better than anything coming across the pond. And at prices that won’t hurt you. Be shopper smart. Ask questions, get pics and don’t get had. 👍🏻

Seems like these type of videos are required for every league yearly since these knockoff companies work fast.

There are some things that they end up fixing, but for the most part the materials they use for the logos/numbers stay the same. They are always bubbly and look shinyer than they should

Not heatpressed, but sublimated

For some reason I always mix up the two lol

are they fake or is Fanatics just using their own factory for them? (oh snap!)

This kind of video is useful, but damn that Flyers, why would you not compare it to the NHL store to compare and see just how crappy it is from a mile away?
@TheJerseyZone8 күн бұрын
I thought about it but I wanted to show real pictures of a legit jersey, not just stock photos. There are a few real photos on the NHL store but not enough that I liked.

@TheJerseyZone I meant as a consumer, why would you not check against the stock images to check if it were legit! Your video is spot on though, helping those that are not savvy enough. That karma will visit you soon enough in a good way :)

@@AnthonyBunnage Ah gotcha. I think some people just don't even think about that.

Just got a Michkov today. I knew it was a knockoff when buying it but the pics did not depict the true color. I could deal with the larger dot on the logo and the square stitch for the strap but I hate the color. It looks like fluorescent orange. 💸💸💸

Ah thats too bad. It does seem like a lot of the Flyers fakes haven't caught up to the fact that they Flyers changed their colours.
