I'm a Birkin collector and I feel the handles are big giveaway when it comes to fakes. When closed the authentic bags handles will always align and fakes won't.

+Nadia Yakubova Hi Nadia... the stamp needs to be crisp, yes. But it also needs to be in the correct location with the correct font and the bag needs to have the correct blind stamps as well (discussed in another video). There are 4 videos in our Hermes series that give as much information as we think we can without giving too much to tip off the counterfeiters. Thanks for your feedback. +Joe Fang I am so sorry I did not respond to this. My bet is you have untangled your problem by now, but I wanted to get back to you anyway. As a rule, we do not authenticate bags. If you have a question, I would recommend taking it to Hermes and asking them to do some work on it (maybe you have a buckle that needs cleaning?). They will not work on anything that is not theirs. I would also stress the importance of only buying from well established second hand merchants. Make sure you do research on the buyer. And the biggest piece of advice I can give, is to be sure you are buying from someone who has a storefront where you can call or walk in and speak with an actual person. That does not mean you can't purchase from someone online, but we've been in this business since 1954 and we know how important it is to know who you are dealing with and to have the ability to speak with them directly if you have a question. Again, my apologies for the delayed response.
