Gucci made some sneakers in Serbia. You don't really have to make full complete production in the Italy to get it labelled as " made in Italy". You could outsource the majority of production in China and then bring back to Italy to finish final stage. It may be as small as fixing the sticker, putting the buttons or zippers and voila, you got made in Italy label. Balenciaga, Prada , and some well known brands produced some of their lines in China , India and Eastern Europe. Read the news!

So, like you said, almost all fashion companies - including high end one, do outsource some (or majority) or their manufacturing in countries like china, bangladesh etc to cut cost before completing the assembly in some other 'posh' country.

there was a shop who sold genuine luxury products in a hotel. turns out the store employees and owner would swap the real with counterfiet and sell the later to cheat people. it came in the newspaper and it was in a reputed hotel. the hotel had no relation with the shop so they were safe as they rent out the shops to the company who wants to sell their goods

I bought Lalage Beaumont Fontyn in medium tan last week from *preluxscom* I have been using it since I received it and then neglected my designer range (maybe it was the honeymoon period) but I am so impressed by the quality and price deep impression. I mean, if some stuff needs an expert to tell apart, then spending 10% the money for the counterfeit is money well spent, because the quality is so good it can fool almost every one except experts. The problem would be if it is sold as the real deal. But if it is sold as a counterfeit for a tenth the price, then I'd buy it if I wanted it. Because otherwise you'd just be paying overpriced stuff. If someone told me it is immoral to buy it, I'd say it is immoral to charge that much for the real stuff if the quality is the same.

Reality: the super fakes are so good that experts many times can’t even tell anymore! But a downside to that is that super replicas are not really affordable either. Oh the sweet irony, they both decided that the green (fake) bag was better when it comes to the feeling of the bag, the details etc. So that kills the point that it's worth paying more for the "better" quality and experience. I could pay 10.000$ for a bag only if the bag could protect me on the street, that could be the only reason, but not because somebody put some logo on it. I bought a 'gold' Rolex in NY on a vist some years ago and had problems with it so I took it to a watchrepair shop in Paris and asked him if he didn't mind looking at it, telling him it was a fake. This is nothing compared to Shanghai, China. I saw some “super fake” Chanel and Gucci that took my breath away. They looked and felt like the real thing. These bags were never displaced out in the open, but tucked away in a secure place. The sales person would always asked if you wanted to see a higher quality designer *esluxs* than the ones they displaced out in the open. If you said yes, the sales person stepped away and brought you a designer bag that looked authentic.

Bold Counsel That’s the case with any high end brand, their brand value and reputation allows them to have high profit margins. It’s all the just smart marketing, a good is worth whatever a consumer is willing to pay for it. Some designer bags cost over $200 to make though, especially when they are unique designs made from high quality leather/skins of exotic animals, hand made by incredibly skilled and experienced craftsmen who put in numerous hours into making sure every little detail is perfect and the bags are designed by really talented and well known designers. These bags are usually designed and made in Italy or France where the cost of production is high but so is the quality of production. These brands pay fair wages to their highly skilled craftsmen and designers, the more number of hours they put into making a certain bag, the higher the price of the bag it is. For some people an impeccably crafted bag with a reputed brand name on it is worth being ‘ripped off’.

미셜비 Oh lord they don’t, I’ve used and own many counterfeits and cheaper bags and they all fall apart after a few months of use. Designer bags can last for years, even with regular use if you take care of them properly. Some of the cheap and counterfeits I’ve only used a few times starts deteriorating by itself and all the material cracks and falls apart within a few months, even when stored properly. My designer bags still look like they are mint condition, most of which I’ve owned for over 5 years and a few I got from my mother are even older. You can also take back your designer bag to their show rooms to get them fixed, that’s not something you can do with cheaper bags. I’ve been using and abusing my current handbag which is a coach for over a year and it still looks brand new.
