Night Same. Even worse was I had to follow suit. Found some at a dollar store a few days ago and I bought a few while being suspicious of them. I've been going through a bunch of sources checking into them to see if they're real. Seems they are as every test I've found verifies them including comparing them to real copies and how they're made found by ripping some of the duplicates I'd gotten up just now. I don't feel too bad though. No one, not even myself can convince me they're not real despite being heavily skeptical on them being real coming in. So now I have no reason not to buy the couple hundred packs they've got there. I'm sure they'll be replaced soon enough. Whoever repackaged them likely kept the best cards for themselves so I'm sure the card variety isn't as high as it could be given the more valuable cards are likely not in them.

well first of all there's also fake packs that give you Pokemon with ridiculous HP second fake packs don't give you energy they just give you fake cards. Tip:to recognize a fake pack whenever you open it it doesn't give you those codes for the online game.

I have a few Pokemon cards from a booster pack and booster box I got, and I think the ones with the foil tend to have nifty little patterns on them related to the type. for instance, I have a holo Meowstic, which held to the light, shows a cool little pattern of keys hanging from chains. I also have a Yveltal card with a similar effect on it. Those tend to be slightly shinier than your almost everything common cards.

If you looked closely at that last Lapras card, yoou can see that the foil plastic was actually the combination of two sheets of foil, and that it was joined together by the line through the middle which the pattern changes through.

Actually, there are plain foil on some of the 3rd-4th gen cards, examples: The 4th gen Starter tins promo cards, some Breloom in 3rd gen. There was others, but I can't remember specifically, other than original foil Charizards. Though they didn't go over the whole card.

So i have a pokemon card that i found while digging threw some old junk it says its a hoohoo with 470hp, evolves from machop put dark machoke on the basic pokemon on the top of the card. in bottom right it says 163/82. it has the mark over e in pokemon it feels like my real cards but from what i see its a dark machop with a hoothoot picture and it says hoohoo is it a missprint or a fake. Thank you so much! I have a cousin who has two halves of Lugia LEGEND and I told him they were fake. Of course he tried to correct me, but then I pulled this video up and he now knew the truth. How could I tell? Top start, the holograph symbols we printed on the card rather than have that cool shine effect. Plus, the back sides of both of them were bleached out and they both felt dry and flimsy.

I bought a xy booster pack/box on ebay for $96 (about the going price). The seller had been reputable. Comparing the cards to some I already had, I have some doubts. For one, the left side of most, if not all the cards is slightly grainy, as if they weren't cut properly; you cant feel the difference but you can see it. Second, some of the cards are longer in the corners; they're not exact points, but if you flush the cards into a deck they stick out on the edges. Lastly, some have red spots or circles. I got a reverse holo Starmie and it has some patterned red circles on the face side and one on the back which make a mark on the card behind it. Apart from that, all the cards look genuine in color, holo, language, and to a degree the separation of the front and rear of the card. Is it paranoia or is it just an awkward batch from the retailer?

I remember when I was in primary school, kids used to make fake cards by scanning real cards, printing the front and back and gluing it together with a piece of cardboard in the middle. Lot of kids got fooled, including myself. Looking back now it was honestly so obvious because the cards literally fell apart XD Other kids would also start rumors that your card was fake if it didn't have a star on the bottom-right hand corner in the hopes that you'd throw it out.. >.>
