My situation is the opposite. My wife controls all of the money. She owns her own business and I work and pay 80% of all bills. I buy a bottle of water during the day at my hot job and I get scolded. She makes huge financial control decisions behind my back. I'm not included in any bills or financial decisions. She gets side jobs behind my back. I once found out about a job she accepted from a tax return six months later that showed up in the mail. I'm tired of the disrespect and control. I'm scared of spending anything. Sometimes I splurge in rebellion. I want out...but I'm scared.

Hire a financial analyst, who will delve into all accounts and discrepancies that don't add up, to chase the $ trail. Some will do on a contingency or pay on back end if after your initial free consultation they determine there is enough financial recovery to get paid after, which you will have to sign an agreement on. Hi there homies....San Diego native here trying to hire an attorney when Im financially abused? I have no access to any of our finances, zero knowledge of anything and I need protection from the court from my husband. Im desperate for a divorcs and trying to do everything possible including preparing my own petition for filing in Virginia because its the only possible way to stop his financial abuse and restore my rights.

It was just fine when women received spousal support, but it is abuse when men receive it. Being a miser is abuse, but overspending is an illness.

Lot of Bias in the convo against men.Men suffer financial abuse waaay more,while women tend to rack up more debt & loose spending. And taking advantage of Men through divorce/alimony.Real victims are the financially broken Men that are alienated from their children.
