Leah is the Carl Sagan of DIY. An expert in her field and an expert teacher. I promise you if you follow her directions it will go perfectly. I did,I even bought what looks like the same gun from a national discount tool store. $29 I did part of the ceiling in my bathroom over where the shower is. About 3x5 feet the spraying itself took about one minute, the set up and cleanup took longer. Thanks again Leah!

Great vid Leah! I do drywall for my business and you did a very thorough job explaining how to use a hopper. I wish I had instructors like you growing up. I do use my pancake compressor for texturing but it’s definitely better to use a larger compressor. When I spray whole rooms I always feel bad for my little red husky compressor as it doesn’t stop running until I’m done spraying the whole room. I keep thinking okay this is it, I’ll be buying another one of these today.. but it keeps chugging along. I’d rather use a bigger one but I need something portable for going to the different job sites.

Thanks Leah, I always enjoy your videos, and learn a lot. You previously did a video that explained how to use the spray cans of texture spray. For people who have a smaller area that needs to be repaired, the spray cans of texture work fine. I had a section of wall inside my garage that needed to be spray textured, and since I don't own an air compressor, I purchased a can of spray texture. I found that the video you made was the most helpful of all the KZbin videos I watched that discussed spray texturing. It took me about half a can or a third of the can to get good at it, and the end result was quite satisfactory.

I have questions. I have this sprayer, some exterior latex acrylic paint and outdoor wooden tables that need painting. 1) Can I use this texture sprayer to paint with latex acrylic paint? 2) I have dry test run the sprayer and I cant get the airflow to stop when the trigger is not depressed. Any suggestions? 3) What paint to water ratio would you recommend? 4) Which nozzle size would work best for paint 5/16", 1/4" or 3/16"? Love your videos!

Great review Leah, justed loved it, today I was looking for a texture gun to use with that new product Mike Holmes endorses called VIPEQ, It's a cork insulating product, if you decide to use your gun to apply vipeq, or any other cork insulating product I would appreciate it. The machine the product uses is an HVLP compressor, its to expensive for a 2 day job. If the gun your using in this video can do the same job, I have a 6 HP compressor. Again great work

Love your videos, thank you!! I found this awesome workaround for knockdown patches called ‘pirate patch.’ I am not the best at DIY and my knockdown patches looked horrible. It’s literally a knockdown stencil - shockingly easy. I haven’t painted over it yet, so far so good though. I hope it looks as good painted as it does now! We’ll see soon :) if not I’ll try your methods!! :))
