I recently was promoted to a specialized SEO/paid search role for a billion dollar retailer. It's more in-depth than anything I've ever done before, so I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when I was asked to do a competitive analysis of our top competitors. So many keywords. So many competitors. And millions of dollars on the line. I tried many videos and read many articles and stressed out about it for more than a full day. But then I stumbled onto this video. At what step in the process should you complete competitor analysis? Should it be the very first step if a site already exists or should you see which keywords the site is already ranking for first and then competitor research after? What if it's brand new site as well? Thnx

Yep. Check do SEO analysis for yourself first then for your competitors. Refresh your own analysis with the findings from the competitor analysis.
