A subject that is seen as taboo but it is so important to know just how to deal with this situation. When in the forces we always took our waste away with us which is why I never go anywhere without a plastic bag. A folding shovel and RV toilet roll is always in the trunk of my car just in case. ........and......here is a prairie dog hole ...😁 While answering the call on a quiet hike through a forrest , and absolutely sure no one was around , i prepped and settled in . Only then did i realize i was surrounded by wolves ! I quickly closed shop whilst yelling and making my pathetic self look bigger by waiving a stream of toilet paper and a tiny orange plastic sanitation shovel ..... I think the big one was amused .

My comment has squat to do with squatting, butt ... I don’t own an A-liner but enjoy your videos immensely. Your videography is on par with Ansel Adam’s photography in what it does to inspire and induce awe in the viewer. Please keep up this great work. Now, for two questions: 1. Where will you be in late September? 2. How do you find free places to camp in Canada? I know in the US we can use BLM and Forestry lands but what about when visiting our cousins to the north? Hi Mike, 1. I expect to be in the Midwest US in September. No definite itinerary, I go wherever the inspiration is. 2. Canada is a strange beast, Crown lands are not always clearly defined. You'd think there would be lots of spots with all those large expenses of virgin forest, but most are inaccessible by road. What province are you planning on traveling? Thanks, SP

Slim, No Canada in my plans this year. Next year, when I receive my Hiker trailer, I would like to shoot up the East Coast and visit the Provinces north of Maine. A friend of mine was skiing one winter and he received the call. He pulled off the trail and undid his one-piece hooded ski suit and did the dirty deed. After he was finished and wiped his bum with snow, he suited up and continued skiing. But he couldn't understand why he still smelled poop. Finally he realized that he had partially deposited his load in the hood of his suit. I still guffaw whenever I think of this story!
