Where do I begin with my genuine compliments..... I am very new to your channel and chalk painting, and am for sure addicted to both! LOL!! I have however been in the creative career for years. It is SO refreshing to find someone who is willing to share all they know to help others become better at their craft. The small oval “tureen” is a casserole dish and server. This normally comes with a lid and the metal server is very functional for bringing food to the table. Great for two people or small family. I have one (Pyrex) and the glass lid is etched. I use the casserole very frequently to cook pasta in the microwave. Put dry pasta in the 1/3 of the bottom, add water to cover plus 1/2”, a little salt and cook 14 mins. Perfect every time. No yucky plastics. People should use their kitchen antiques and bring back sitting down for meals!!! I collect Pyrex and use every piece. Thanks for another good video. 👍🏻

Absolutely LOVE your Mint Colored pieces. They are beautiful with the Mint Color & the aged look as well. I would go absolutely nuts in your store!!! Anything in that Mint Color I buy & when I go to thrift store & find Farmhouse pieces I bring home & spray paint with Krylon Satin in " Catalina Mist" which is a beautiful mint color!!! Gorgeous.

The "terrine" with the glass bowl in the metal framing, is called a jardiniere. I have a similar one after my grandparents, from early 1900's I guess, maybe the twenties.

Nice video, Jami! There are a couple of shops nearby me that restore furniture and carry their paints they use. I was wondering if you have classes now and then as these I'm speaking of do. If not and you do have a small area for, at your shop, it makes a good extra income in addition to, as the classes held are small and only held a few times a year .. (the owners gets paid on the day of guests sign up for, prior to class, FYI) Guests receive a couple of small paint samples and whatever small thing they paint in class. I've not done myself, but checked into, to know.

excellent video. Great advice. A few things. Is there a better day to go thrifting on? Ive heard Mondays are the best because of weekend cleaning projects and the stores are too busy on weekend to add new items. By Monday they can. Do yu find that to be true? 2nd, where do you like to get your flowers for arrangements from? Where is your go to store for that? 3rd, if you find a great wood piece but it smells is there a product that you carry that gets rid of the musty smell or a DIY hack???

I’ve had good luck on Monday’s but I’ve consistently had good luck when the thrift stores first open. I love michaels and IKEA for flowers. Michaels does 50% off sales quite frequently. I use bleach cleaner to fix smelly. If the drawers smell I clean them with bleach and sometimes put coffee grounds in them.
