When I first saw that the video was 22 minutes I was like "wtf, why is this that long?". Pleasantly surprised by the end though because you actually took the time to explain the ENTIRE process to people who may be new to modding with how to check for compatibility, finding and posting error logs to help out the creator, troubleshoot, etc. As someone who has done a lot of modding in the past I really appreciate you educating people to this level. If you download wallpaper engine on steam, search for Stalker under Workshop and you should get a TON of dope stalker wallpapers :)

Hey thanks for the useful info. I noticed you have an addon there called 'enemies_do_not_see_through_foliage', I searched and couldn't find it, is it something you made yourself? This kind of thing is so annoying in games, I'll never forget those Far Cry 2 snipers, kill you from a mile off through 10 layers of bushes. I would love to have this addon.

I got to the part where you launch the app directly from mod organizer 2 to see if it works properly, but now my game is a very small borderless window. From what I can see, my video settings in-game are exactly as I left it. The only deviation from the tutorial I made was I made it a portable instance. Update: Attempted to troubleshoot following the next step in the tutorial. Created a new instance for global, launched app from mod organizer 2, then selected reset graphic settings in the launcher. If anyone is having the same issue, this will most likely fix it.

I was trying to rename the GAMMA MCM values in the Mod Organizer Menu so I could keep the mods I have selected after updates and after I renamed it I hit the Enter key and the entire line disappeared. Was that supposed to happen or did I royally fuck something up?

I'm having so many issues just trying to Have JSRS overwrite Boomsticks&Sharpsticks' weapon sounds. I found merge mods, but they always say a file is missing or duplicated for some ammo or something. Really, I just want to have my game have BaS, great sound, and better weapon position/camera/animations, so I can work my way crafting to the top of the equipment chain, beat the stories, and become Queen of Zone. Is that too much ask? I have been trying to get the animation, weapons, and sound of Escape From Pripyat 3.0, without any of the other stuff. But after two days of shuffling files and whatnot, I just cant get it working.

Make sure Boomsticks&sharpsticks is first in the load order then JSRS 1 2 3 then the patch.

It will open and everything but it says and I quote “Cannot open instance ‘STALKER Anomaly’, the game directory ‘C:/STALKER anomaly New’ doesn’t exist or the game plugin ‘STALKER Anomaly’ doesn’t recognize it. Select the game managed by this instance.

For me it says that the content of are not valid and when I press okay it tells me This mod was probably NOT set up correctly, most likely it will NOT work. You should first correct the directory layout using the content-tree. Wth do I do?

I have a question. How do you edit the script of a mod and remove certain lines and save it properly. I found the lines of a mod I want to remove, but I don't know how to save the changes I've made.

so if you're talking about editing a script through note pad, all you'd need to do to save it is go to the top left of the window, click "file" and then select "save" in the drop down. If you are referring to saving it within mo2 then you need to make sure the file/config you are editing is selected in mo2 and then saved like I mentioned in the beginning of this message. Anything edited in the actual install folder of anomaly will be overwritten by what is installed through mo2. Hope this helps!

Hey man, i really appreciate the awesome guide but i am having some troubles, i have followed the guide until 13:50 but when i select a mod, any mod it says The content of does not look valid. and when i press OK it has a pop up saying: "Continue?: This mod was probably NOT set up correctly, most likely it will NOT work. You should first correct the directory layout using the content-tree" Do you have any idea what i did wrong or how i could fix this? Alright, for anyone experiencing the same problem i have found the solution, when trying to installing any mod that comes up with this error try to click on the arrows to show the contents then navigate through the folder until you find one that has a 'gamedata' folder, this worked (at least for me) with all the mods i had this issue with. :)

Quick note, some of your priority is backwards. 0 loads first, then 1 overwriting any conflicts before, then 2, etc. JSRS for example should be first (priority 0), then Blindsides should be 1 which overwrites some of JSRS, then the patch should be 3 which overrides both 0 and 1. The way you have it set up in the video means JSRS wins all conflicts, which means Blindsides loses, and its patch is redundant and doesn't do anything (noted by the grey lightning bolt in the conflicts section)

Where you're wrong is that the mod author himself, Blindside, Kevin, who is a friend of mine instructed me to place my mods in this order, and it works, 0 issues, I had issues placing it in the order you would normally think it should be placed. Thanks for the info though! 😁

@@wizarjry Not to be confrontational, but I work on the MO2 project and created the Stalker Anomaly plugin for it. I know how this works, and that JSRS patch is literally doing nothing, because it's redundant and clearly labeled as such (the grey lightning bolt). I'll swap it around and see if anything changes, I just remember having it set up correctly before and having issues with some of the new audio added in from the mod not working properly, after ordering the way I have it now, everything works as intended. Not sure why that is.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no, really depends on the mod. Most times the mod author will put information about this in the description of their mod

If you wanted to run each mod apart from each other then yes, instance is usually for different mod lists, but if you wanted one mod only in each load up of Anomaly you most certainly can do that!

Doesn't work. Mod organizer can't detect Stalker Anomaly. I choose it, but some files don't show up when I am creating an instance. I could see kingdom come deliverence and made an instance then it could see Stalker anomaly, but I can't make an instance that is for anomaly. It allows me to install stalker anomaly addons to another game. Not a good modding experience.

I also only have one folder which is C. So I did not install the mod manager and the game on different folders either. Whenever :I try to install sth like this, I always have a stupid issue like this and can't figure out why. I do it step by step.

Here's the error I get when I try to browse and manually select Stalker to create an instance. "The folder C:/Stalker ANOMALY does not seem to contain a game Mod Organizer can manage. See details for the list of supported games." I had changed my stalker anomaly's name to Sdalger. I am suspecting this might be why it doesn't detect the game. I uninstalled MO2 and changed the name back to normal. Still doesn't work.

I had the same problem and I kinda solved it by changing the folder's name, my folder was named -[S.T.A.L.K.E.R]-, and I changed to only STALKER (without symbols or anything). I had my MO2 in the same folder and apperently It affected it too, so maybe if your folder has some symbols or anything, try to remove them.

By chance, do you have one folder for Stalker and then a second folder within that first with 1.5.2? I had to select browse, then right click my stalker folder to manually open to the next level, and THEN I could properly create the instance for Mod Organizer. So it was like " C drive - games - stalker - anomaly 1.5.2 - actual stuff for the game

Warning for some people here, Virustotal (virus scan website) detected the Mod Organizer 2 file as malicious, well atleast only one did, and it thinks that its a Malicious.moderate.ml.score (trojan virus), so i do not recommend doing this.
