Best of luck! It's always best to answer questions accurately and honestly. Be sure to pick up on specific words used by the interviewers and repeat the question wording in your answer. @@triciarobins4100 Hello! The interview was so warm and light, I did not feel an ounce of nervousness once the conversation began. The Professors were extremely warm and nice. It was not what I was expecting at all, because I came out of that interview pretty sure I did well and that they had a good impression. Fastforward, I am moving to Oxford to start my course this October :D

How does Oxford view students who are passionate about multiple topics/ studies at once? In other words, are students who like to take a more interdisciplinary approach to problems, "welcomed" as much as students who are deeply specialized in one field? I am wondering this because the world keeps getting more complex, and there is an increasing need for people who can look at a problem interdisciplinarily (i.e. from a diverse set of perspectives). Anyways, great video as always!

(Note: I have no experience with oxford, nor have I been on any admissions committees, so this comment may be a waste of your time xD) By now, everyone knows of the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach, so your declaration is probably on the orders of "I hunger for knowlege". Unfortunately, everyone and their grandmother is when they're applying to oxford. In other words, your "recognition" alone is about as unique as a pronouncement of "I'm a quick learner". To avoid sounding cheap, you should probably substantiate such otherwise meaningless and well-abused mantra with a resume that speaks for itself. There will need to be ample evidence attesting to the fact that you are what you claim to be, so much so that I don't think advertising yourself this way will present any shortcuts for you. And at all times, it's probably best to orient yourself to be concerned with what you can do for oxford and not what oxford can do for you. For example, oxford can surely quench your thirst for knowlege, but why should it do so for you, especially considering that other universities can serve you just as well. To address this, you should at least be able to point to a body of work that makes oxford want to associate itself with you and believe that you're a safer bet than other applicants.

Good question! Several of our degrees celebrate inter-disciplinarity, such as my own -- philosophy, politics and economics (PPE). So, there's no harm in being passionate about many disciplines. What I would suggest, nonetheless, is that you focus your energies on specific problems (EG climate change, human rights) even if these problems do not fit within a specific disciplinary boundary.
