I absolutely LOVE how you didn’t dawdle and instead jumped right into this video! And you are completely right with needing to know the history of 60’s and 70’s. the reason why the clothing was so unique was because it was a reaction of the socio-economic-politics that were happening at the time, which are still relevant in today’s society. Also guys don’t forget: vintage vibes NOT vintage values✨✨✨✨

I'm so happy to hear that you enjoed the video!✨ I personally don't like long intros so I'd rather say what I got to say along the video 😋 When I started this channel I didn't thought so many people would be interetsd in the history of the time but I figured it was important to share it and reading that think so too and you enjoy listening to it means a lot!💛 And I absolutely agree with you: Vintage vibes NOT vintage values!✨

Idk if u know but the first schawl, the embroidered one at around 30:20 has a traditional hungarian pattern on it, called "matyó". It was also probably made by hand. Beautiful piece btw, it looks nice on you and suits your style ❤

You have no idea how much your comment means to me!💛 my family is actually from Hungary but they had to go to Germany after the second world war because one of my relatives married a German. Two years ago I went to Budapest to research my family‘s history there and I always thought the embroidery on the shawl seemed familiar but I had no idea that it was made by hand. Thank you so so much for your comment - you made my day!💛
@esztergalajda3 жыл бұрын
@@EmmaRosaKatharina wow I really had no idea, I just got excited that I recognised the embroidery. What a coincidence that you are connected to Hungary like that! Then that schawl must have extra meaning to you. Such a cool thing! I am happy I could tell you something new❤

I adore your videos! I’ve been slowly building up my vintage/Thrifted wardrobe for about 2 years now. I initially struggled with which decade I related to the most but after researching music I like, the history and prominent icons of the time period I fell in love with the 60s and 70s. It’s so great hearing all your insight and seeing some items from your wardrobe. Super cute!

Get yourself some wide bell bottom (or flared boot fit) jeans cut extra low on the hips and a wide studded belt. The jeans have to be really tight fitting around the hips. Instant late 60s early 70s. Add some kind of lose fitting floral top (or white lacy top) for the full look. Trust me, I was around at the time.

You and your looks are NEVER too much! I hope my videos will help you built the confidence to wear whatever you want. I personally think layering is great and especially wearing turtlenecks under your outfits always gives you a great 60s & 70s look. Maybe you also want look into the maxi dress at maxi skirt trend of the time or try experimenting with patterned blouse and flared bottoms. Do you like beatnik fashion? Because some black skinny jeans, a turtleneck and a hat are always great for that. Or maybe you’d enjoy wearing band tees and flared jeans for a more causal look? I hope this helped you a little✨

@@EmmaRosaKatharina Thanks for you're reply! I do love some flare pants I acctually think I only own one pair of skinny's. Definitely going to look for some maxi dresses! I also invested in some nice acessories like a chain/ white belt, sunglasses and skinny scarf so a plain look gives it a more 60/70s feel.

I would go for knee length skirts and if you wear minis either order a size up so you get more length and/or wear dark colored tights to balance it out. But definitely layer!

Fabulous content. It took me back in time. I think I've got photos of me in platform leather boots and I had a long maxi fur coat which came in handy when pushing a baby pram in the depths of Winter when I lived in Germany and Ireland. Until I stayed home and started sewing, I didn't like the 70s styles. I got vintage sewing patterns and chose fabrics that went with them. I also found styles I liked for children. It helps if you enter hippie or boho too. Now I'm knitting a 1980s hood scarf for a girl. Not as cheap a hobby as it used to be though.

Is it still animal cruelty if the animal is already dead from natural causes or whatever before you make use of its fur? Is it still animal cruelty if you are just shearing a sheep and it is in the highest heat of summer and it hasn't been sheared in five years? (There's a video on KZbin about a sheep that hasn't been sheared in 5 years.) I say no, that's not cruelty. That's keeping an animal comfortable since they can't shear themselves to regulate their own temperature, and by using more parts of a whole animal who is deceased from natural causes or by accident, you're honoring them. It's better to use every part that you can than for them to merely be incinerated or fed to pigs or left on the side of a road where they were hit by a car to be food for vultures.
