i started bands pretty often. Only one of them worked for a longer period of time. If you don't get along with the other members well (when you finally found some) it can be pretty frustrating or it just doesnt work for you or the others. Unless your friends happen to play instruments and like the same music like you. Then you should hope that everybody has the same comitment for the band. Another problem ( here in germany ) is to get a rehearsal room . No we cant just play in our garages here.

I'd been wanting to start a band all through school and only in the past year have i been able to actually pull all of the members togethor. I found that bassists and guitarists where pretty easy to come by but we could not find a drummer and the drummers we did know where total asshats. I'd recomend ask around in as many places as possible. Also patience. Things will work out eventually, just be patient
