I'm so jealous. I want a Water Jasmine so badly. I knew the front when you were spinning it and I was telling you about it. When you repot and refine the base that front that you picked will be fantastic. You have a beautiful start going there. Now just put it in a box and I'll give you the address and I'll love it 😂

What's your success rate with propagating cuttings? I have an apical branch about half an inch wide that I'd like to root. Can't decide if I should air layer or if it's small enough to root on its own.

I've had 0 success with cuttings. I've only been able to do it this way.

I would try airlaying. Is the only I've never tried. I've also tried seeds and no success. Since I've started getting them from roots, I've had no need to do it any other way.

Do they like a lot of water or good drainage?
@chrisjackson-burgos60862 жыл бұрын
In my experience the answer is both. Good drainage is recommended and water every day until water comes out the bottom of the pot.

What media that you are using and what fertilizer ? Thank you
@chrisjackson-burgos60864 жыл бұрын
I use regular plant food and fish fertilizer. For the media I use regular potting soil until it goes into the prebonsai or bonsai pot. Once it's in the bonsai pot I use a tropical bonsai soil blend sold locally here in Florida. The plant it's so adaptable that you could probably use regular potting soil even on a bonsai pot.
