In the winter you must start the engine in order for the battery to not die. When you start the engine and keep it running, the alternator will power the battery, and recharge it. If you don’t start the engine, it will drain the battery more, which will cause you to have to jumpstart the car or get a new battery.

Thank you for the video this help as the dealer did not show us this. However, how does one get the interior lights to turn when you open the door, like at night. And then shut off like after you unload the back area of groceries at night, etc. like how a car would be in the old fashion of the age of the key, key not needed to do the above, as you know. Because mostly car dealers do not inform it to their customers so that when the car has a problem in an ignition or engine it is more expensive and that's where they get more money. I don’t think this information is correct. You should pause for a couple of seconds in the on mode, as your ECM (Central Computer) is doing a systems check as most of the lights come on, are checked, and blink out one-by-one. (This is like your PC booting up.) I usually use this two seconds to fasten my seat belt.

MyPackMyPower you press the shifter button just a bit and hold it but not all the way in and at the same time you press button twice which would bring it into accessory mode without shutting your screen and than you can let go of shifter button.
