If your in a poor country Don't rush to buy figures they'll probably going to scam you
@HeroPrinnyDood10 ай бұрын
I think there is one tip you forgot, if I might add: Decide if you will be collecting by a theme( for example, will you collect all characters equally? Only villains? Only a specific character?) This can actually help you if you’re having trouble settling on one specific type of figure ( like crane figures vs Ichiban Kuji) you can collect any of those if you have decided to say, specifically only collect figures of Freeza

Tip that I would give is to carefully select the figure that you will buy, figure reviews definitely helps also ratings of other collectors, so that you can properly decide if you will purchase it or not. Also NEVER buy impulsively trust me on this one, it's better to wait for figures that you really want than to buy just because it was a spur of the moment or something.
@MatchesPeaches Жыл бұрын
Yup especially non Kuji figures. Those don't typically sell out everywhere because they're made in larger quantities from Bandai

I have a limited amount of space, so i cant just get every character from every saga on my shelves. You also especially gotta think about bases if you’re buying prize figures. Will this take up too much space or can i use this space for another better character/figure. That is one thing i always think about when buying figures. Usually i only buy masterlise for the main villain/character in that saga, like for cell saga i got a masterlise perfect cell but ssj goku ssj2 gohan super vegeta ssj trunks and android 16 are all “side characters” so i buy the prize figures for them. This also makes it look like the bad boss so i love it hahaha. I have always bought my figures from local stores and sometimes online, but the journey of finding dragon ball figures in stores is just so fun! About the whole video, this is a very helpful video from start to finish and i hope some collectors evolve by just watching this.

I think being too patient however can be a bad thing because some figure will become rarer and way more expensive , the Grandista SSJ3 Goku is a good exemple.
@MatchesPeaches Жыл бұрын
Yes but that’s very selective / rare
@savetheunknown5929 Жыл бұрын
Have you collected any scaled figures? Also I wish more banpresto figures have unique base or foot stands since its mostly a circle or oval shaped with a solid color Anyways good tips!
@MatchesPeaches Жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate by scaled figures? Do you mean resins? If so - no. They're too big and expensive. I also don't want to deal with the headache of returning one if it comes (likely) damaged. As for the bases and foot supports - the latest Ichiban Kuji for the last couple of years use clear foot supports, so they are a lot better now :)
@savetheunknown5929 Жыл бұрын
@@MatchesPeaches yeah I was talking about the resin figures, Im probably not gonna buy a resin figure aswell because they have expensive prices Also the unique bases I meant are like part of a certain scene, like bardock or goku standing on a rock or ground, I remember seeing a goku figure with a nimbus base
@MatchesPeaches Жыл бұрын
@@savetheunknown5929 ah yeah those are cool bases. I don’t like bases in general because they take up too much space

Thanks for these tips they are definitely helpful, especially the nostalgia when I first got into collecting lol I am guilty with wanting to collect different anime figures but now will just stick to my favorites. Guilty as well with figures that I bought but got disappointed so I end up selling some of them. I really love the last tip which is to have fun, whether what line or anime you're collecting even with a tight budget we all should still enjoy this hobby. P.S. I am on the lookout for upcoming Dragonball Ichiban Kuji figures but will be very selective since they aren't exactly cheap also Solid Edge Works 😁

I'll do my best to review upcoming Kuji, SEW, and GXM releases. Happy collecting!

The tip i would have given my past self or someone new would be to stick to one variation of a certain character. For Example…i have 3 base form gokus just in different poses 😂 same thing with trunks.
