Hello, I'm part of the Team that worked on the Mod (I specifically worked on the Game's English Version, Which includes Vocie Clips, Translation and Music Selections) Thanks for Playing it! If you wonder if the Audio is taken from the Actual Anime for Story Mode, it is, The BluRay Releases of the English Dub are in 5.1 Audio, which has the Music and Voice Tracks separated. I want to talk a bit more about some of the stuff that was added to specifically the Engish Version of the Mod since it has some difference from the Original LatinAmerican Version The original Mod uses Music from the Actual Anime (Although it has more DB Super Music than anything tbh) while the English uses Music from The Budokai, Tenkaichi and Raging Blast Games (Includes Burst Limit, Infinte World, Tenkaichi Tag Team and Ultimate Tenkaichi) and if you noticed while playing Story Mode or any other Mode, you'll notice that some of the Music Choices for the Fights actually played on one of those games (Example: when Vegeta goes Super Saiyan on Android 19, it plays "Like a Burning WIld", which played on the Cutscene where Vegeta Transforms in Budokai 1, The Last Teen Gohan SS2 vs Cell fight starts with "The Man Called C" which played in the same fight in Budokai 1, then switches to "Lost Courage" from Tenkaichi 2, which played on Father Son Kamehameha Cutscene) The other thing is the Addition of New Special Quotes (Like having Goku vs Vegeta talk to eachother at the start and end of the Battle), pretty much every character has a new interaction with Someone About the Website, it does have an English Language (Click on "ES" and change to "EN" at the top of the Page)

It's amazing how much work has been put into this. Over the years, BT4/DBAF "mods" have been a dime a dozen, but were usually just palette swaps, off-model looking characters, and recycled Supers. Here they went out of their way to script new scenarios, add (not replace) new characters that look like they'd fit right in the game's artystyle, new Supers/Ultimates/Transformations with animations that are true to the series, and new stages. Hats off to the modders.

Honestly, the biggest problem with these mods is that 99% have dumb fan content that no one cares about… SSJ5 or whatever with some weird fan design or even made up characters. Stuff like that. It’s great how closely to actual official authentic content this mod sticks to.

honestly i am just glad they switched the clash mechanic from the stick twriling to a simple button mash. oh and having the teleport clashes from the story mode in normal battles is pretty cool as well.

@@FrancisYorkMorganFBI no kidding, I remember getting these red bruises on my hands from doing it too much, the button mashing was one of the best changes they made And they nerfed a bunch of the characters so their attacks uses more ki, which is good, since now you can't spam it as easily lol And finally, they unnerfed captain Ginyus ultimate attack a little bit, but I wish they'd rather change it to what it was in bt 1, that will always and forever be the greatest way to use his power (never made sense to me why he would take someone's body who is off screen, and not the person he's fighting)

I'd love to see just a single player REAL Tenkaichi 4 man. A faithful just love letter to the fans. Give us one of the largest rosters in fighting game/dragonball history spanning Goku's days as a child all the way up to Super Hero. Include the movies, the OVAs, outfits from Yamcha's Banana suit to Krillin with hair. The game would sell like hot pockets.

It’s fan mods like this that make me believe that ideas like this can be a reality if the publisher would just give a shit. I mean we did this with Sonic Mania & look how phenomenal that turned out. It’s was a bonafied hit! If they won’t make one support a fan project and make it an official release. If you need the fan developer to tweak some things due to licensing then so be it but Jan too many fan projects get tossed aside by publishers now a days. This is awesome! Want to play this mod now.

The Black Goku arc from Dragon Ball Super, for me, is the best saga from DBS. It's so amazing, so intricate, action packed but also very smartly written. It takes its time with Zamasu and his understanding of Saiyans. It's deep. And of course, it has Future Trunks, from my favorite DBZ saga, The Cell Saga. But one HUGE thing that the Black Goku arc had that the rest of DBS didn't, was a sense of urgency and worry, because the Gods were also clueless for a bit. The other arcs were way too safe in terms of the characters and their choices. The Gods were always there to keep the Z fighters from dying. Always action heaven, but not at all good stories. The Black Goku arc is the only one with equal parts intelligent storytelling and excellent action!

You might like trying out the Ocarina of Time randomizer if you're looking for another mod video. There's some crazy multiplayer stuff you can do with it like setting up connected randomizer seeds where your items can be in your friends game and his in yours and you send them to each other to progress. That mode is called multiworld and there was once a community multiworld event with 117 people's worlds all connected at once, which is insanse.

For the voice lines the us dub is in 5.1audio channels which makes it easier to extract the lines, unlike the Japanese dub which is mixed in 2.0 (stereo) channel

Now that I think of it, I don't think you've ever played my favorite classic DBZ game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but have you ever played Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors for the GBC? It's a deck based RPG with a lot of secret unlockables, many things that can only be permanently unlocked if you do certain things, like using Vegeta to defeat Perfect Cell being one of a series of options to unlock 2 secret chapters of Trunks going back to his future to defeat the Androids and Cell in his time. No more spoilers, but I recommend a guide for the game, cause there are some obscure choices to be made to unlock things even like Goku SSJ3, which it is possible to beat the whole game without. Also, make sure to check out one game over screen every 10 chapters or so. Probably won't be difficult, it's a tough game and sometimes feels unfair

Played those ps2 dragon ball games so much I wouldn't want to know how many hours I dumped into those games. Definitely will give this a whirl for old times sake. Being a game dev now myself who knows, maybe one day I can get into a position to build a new dragon ball game. Btw I do have to agree that I think budokai tenkaichi 2 might have the edge on 3 just because 3 sometimes did feel a bit too copy and paste with a lot of the movesets for these characters.

I wanted to add, as you mentioned Tenkaichi is a master piece but you feel the age of the camera and controls, its why i struggle "getting good" ,maybe i am to use to the XV2 controls and camera which more of less took Tenkaichi Camera angles and perfected it. will they use this outdated camera or have a more XV2 approach, also would that make the new announaced Tenk 4... Not tenk 4 LOL so many questions.
