Hey,Chad..Did you ever use MasterCard /Dinner and others to buy connects /upgrading membership? I have to buy connects and change membership... They don't let to use bank account to do it! Unfortunately I got a job but after working hard while was going to submit, client said he had it done by others long ago! So I have no earnin yet to use! Reply soon.

hi Chad, your videos have been super helpful! Question: Could you do a video on fake clients on upwork and how to spot them? I just got "hired" for a job, but they just asked to talk on Skype stating that "we don't have anything to do on Upwork platform anymore" I should have thought something was weird when they said they wanted a video interview, but then when the time came, they said "to save time, let's conduct the interview via messages" Which didn't make sense as chatting live would be faster. Now they sent me a contract and everything to sign. I unfortunately have given them my mailing address and my signature from the contract. But now they want to buy me a laptop by "providing funds via e-check" and asking for my banking information. But weekly payouts would be via Upwork. It's just starting to smell more and more fishy and I thankfully have seemingly wised up and to stop giving away information. It is a new account on Upwork (only live about a month) and I cannot really find anything about this guy or the "HR" person that sent the email. Just curious if you could put together a vid or advice on how to spot fake clients that prey on newer accounts with no history (since presumably, I don't know how Upwork works from the freelancer side). As i look back, i see a lot of red flags I missed, but this being my first gig I'm getting on upwork I don't know what is real and normal and what is not.

Hey, How to prepare for talent scout interview?

Same way you would any interview but be prepared that they are representing the client and not the actual client so they may not have answers to all your questions but still come prepared with some regarding the job, and just know your target client really well and understand their goals behind the job before the interview.
