I need specific help with the technical stuff, shipping is the biggest problem. I already make it, have a brand and the space to do it etc. Setting up shipping, and alt shipping in Canada is where I'm stuck. Canada Post is rediculous!

Is the Tizzit program still available and have you made a updates since 2 years ago. Technology/marketing/the social platforms are all changing rapidly and lastly, do you think it is still profitable to make soap and other bath products in today's market?
@Tizzitco
@Tizzitco Жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie! Yes the program is still available (www.tizzit.co/hq for more info and to join). I certainly KNOW it is still profitable to make soap and bath products... as long as you price FOR PROFIT :-) Which is something we teach. Too many sellers underprice and it's a race to the bottom you don't want to be a part of! With correct pricing, branding and marketing you can get good profit margins and find the customers who are willing to pay what your products are truly worth. We update the courses to keep them relevant but if you have any specific questions about what you need help with (technology: social media, email marketing, etc.?) please feel free to email us at hello@tizzit.co with any questions!

Etsys fees are very high, and most of what's sold on the site since the past 5 years or so is factory made garbage sold as "handmade". Etsy does not remove such listings/shops and I can't compete with modern slaves working 14h days 7 days a week with a Chinese/Indian cost of living. I left Etsy. Very good video, thanks for all the tips.

When it comes to pricing I figure out how much it costs to make and then add 1%. I want to make my soap as cheap as possible because I make things for people such as myself who are most interested in saving money. I would never buy a bar of soap for 5.00 and would be more likely to buy a bar for 50 cents. I would rather not hold onto inventory. currently i live in Cambodia and i make homemade soap from soybean oil which is supposed to help whiten skin. As soybean oil is cheap I sell it for .50 cents a bar. I do not add fragrances as I have not mastered making those yet. I also figure that many who would use my soap would like the skin whitening and moisturizing properties. I also would like to drown out my competition if possible.

What else besides soybean oil you put in your soap? I support the idea that one should use local oils and ingredients in the soap recipe (it's sunflower oil in my country), but soybean oil does not clean or make foam when sponified, nor gives hard soap bars.. So, is it coconut, palm or something else that is in your soup?

@@zorkatodorova505 I live in Cambodia so soybean oil is produced locally and is cheap. it is all i use for my soap. I am aware that soybean oil is suppose to lighten skin which is a huge selling factor in South East Asia where women spend 1000s on skin whitening products. So far I have not really noticed what you have suggested. It works as well as soap made with vegetable oil, beef tallow and other fats used in soap making. Some batches have fats and oils from other sources. If i make bacon I will cook out as much fat as possible and use that as part of the first batch. I always make two batches with the first batch using leftover cooking fat and oil. My next goal is to learn how to make candles and then to learn how to craft with plastic so i can greatly reduce the amount of trash I produce. This is a major reason why I learned to make soap as before I would simply fill up jars with used cooking oil and fat and then throw it away. After learning how to make soap, compost organic materials and how to make new paper from receipts and waste paper I only have to take out the trash once a week unless I have guests over.

i am hoping in the future I can learn how to craft with glass, aluminum, and batteries of all types.
