I’ve never thought of or wanted to pursue a jewelry designing, manufacture or selling business, but I can recognize when someone is helping people realize there’s nothing holding them back from doing any and everything except a lack of trying and the knowledge to do it. And you tearing down the veil to the back room, showing there’s no barrier to entry and there’s nothing back there but other people doing business, willing to sell their materials and labor to them too, is amazing man. This video is a public service. I don’t know what motivated you to do a video like this, not where you want to inform about the business but break that barrier in peoples minds that tell themselves “I could never do that,” or “that’s not for me,” that there’s nothing to it. Like I said, I’ve never felt pulled to the jewelry business, but this video has me thinking why not? After half an hour I have that feeling of having a working handle of a skill that you normally can only get from apprenticeship or formal education. Thanks man, if not for me, for anyone who actually needed a hustle or an entry point to a profession and was just not equipped with direction. Most of us aren’t made to feel like we can do anything we want to, and that’s really the spirit behind this video, you’re taking people who see these instagram jewelers and think they’re a different kind of person than them, and then you come in this video- which I have no idea how I got to this video btw- saying no, these guys are just like you, but just with a little know how to the business, and then you went step by step with it. Props to you man, this video lit a fire in me, if not exactly for making and selling jewelry, for not creating a barrier to entry in my mind, for seeking knowledge and not thinking it’s out of reach, that I’m ineligible to do whatever, and that the knowledge is out there, I just have to go and get it and walk into some places and just ask sometimes. Again bud, you did something amazing here, if not in the superficial sense, definitely in the sense of changing mindsets and self imposed limitations.

@@SlavaTVOfficial I bought a 3D model from a guy. He told me to weigh the printed piece and whatever the weight is you multiply by 10 and the answer will be how many grams your gold piece would weigh once casted. That's different than what you said and demonstrated in the video where you simply told the caster how many grams you want the piece, the color, and karat. The model I had printed weighed 1.8 grams. Multiplied by 10 is 18 grams. Does the weight of the print pigeon-hole you to how many grams your piece can weigh. Can you explain what that for me please?

Thank you so much. I'm a dentist from China, and recently I have been experiencing job burnout. I've been searching for a part-time job for the past six months. Four days ago, a friend approached me and expressed her desire to get a lip piercing, asking for my help. Suddenly, an idea struck me-I could offer this service as a part-time job. Additionally, another idea came to mind: I could create grillz! Being a dentist, I am familiar with the production of tooth crowns, which follows a process similar to jewelry making, whether it's done traditionally or digitally. Starting this venture seems feasible for me, but I understand that the real challenge lies in the business aspect. Your support has truly boosted my confidence, and I am sincerely grateful.

16:56 - A casting company I found wants $9/piece + $10/gram over metal cost. $315 becomes $409. 22:10 - I found $3 per diamond to set. That adds $624 to your total. Then, the casting fee is $174.75 more than you give. The piece would be $2,087. These prices make non-gold jewelry prohibitively expensive. It looks like my state has no jewelry district. All the jewelers I have been to mailed out all jewelry for repair or modification and shipped in all jewelry.

My area does not have a jewelry district. And, what he pushes is your average cookie-cutter reseller who is nothing more than a middle man. This is completely removed from mostly any part of the art side of jewelry. There would be nothing unique about this jewelry, no reason for a customer to go this route vs going with a larger dealer. But,there is plenty of potential here for someone to do as littler or as much of this as desired. I may go for this, although I would likely design and manufacture my own.

Thanks for this video man. I have the 3D modeling skills and I've been wanting to turn my garage into a 3D printing jewelry business, as well as picking up the big cap ex equipment's to do so, but your detailed video mentioned a lot of options and less labor intensive method to start the business. Saved me lots of money from doing everything myself by hand

So what would be the total cost to make a Cuban Chain? I’m paying one off that’s 61g of 18K yellow gold. $3,600 when gold was around $1,800. This is a great video.
@SlavaTVOfficial4 жыл бұрын
1 gram would be 43.50. so with casting it would be $45. 45 x 61 grams = 2,745. add $50 to polish / labor. around 2800
