Really appreciate this. I bought a '99 DR350SE too, pretty rough shape, just learning about it.

Glad I could help! They're great bikes. I have plenty of other videos that'll probably help you out. Enjoy!

We have one in our backyard that's been sitting there for around 5 years. This really helps. Thanks!

Ever started one with kickstart? Had a DR390 real pig to start.15-20 hard kicks. Boy you had to kick it hard to get it started. Really had to lift your butt high off the seat and put everything you got when you kicked. My hand ached as I also hold in the clutch while I start a bike. Feels great though when it finally starts after kicking the shit out of it.

This ones got kickstart! It’s tough to start if you don’t use good technique, it’ll start reliably in 1-3 kicks now that I’ve sorted the carb out. With a gummed up carb it’s tough and is super satisfying when it finally goes!

@@CashedOutCars Bet you have to kick real hard, they can be real beasts, Imagine having to do it halfway up a hill cause you stalled it and having a hard time getting it started again. Been there a few times. Feels great when your kicking hard though.

I’m glad! This is the best way to see if there’s a fueling issue on carbureted bikes. Time to get it running without starter fluid!

tip-if you have an aircompressor, take the fuel line off from under the tank, and blow the carb out...it will blow all the junk out the vent tubes under the bike.....then hit it with starting fluid.....plus run Sta-Bil in your gas.....kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnLXeaxmh9Wir6M
