1:55 Are you sure you want to place industrial zone just before residential area? I mean isn't orange arrows - wind? So industrial zones would pollute residential cuz of wind. (i don't really played this game, so it's just random guess, youtube just somehow decided i need those videos, lol)

I am having trouble playing this. When building low density commercial, is it required to surround it with medium density residential?

No but high density residential creates more need for commercial in general
