Why am I not surprised at your choice? :) Tom reached out to me not long ago pitching the idea of me trying his newly redesigned Tote bag. I danced around the pitch a bit because I couldn’t really tell (and I didn’t want to come right out to ask) if he was offering a complimentary bag, or if he was simply suggesting the I purchase one. Based on what you mentioned, it kinda sounds like the bag that your getting is complimentary. Unfortunately right now my budget can’t swing such a purchase :)

I didn’t know chipmunks ate worms until they ate all of mine. I just started last fall and I learned from the best, YOU, I watched many different channels but yours is the best. Well I guess I have to start all over again, I can’t afford to buy worms so all of mine were caught in my garden where I already bury scraps. It was a light winter so I was out in Feb digging up worms out of my garden. Right now we are going through a bad dry spell, so I can’t find any, and I even use a soaker hose in my garden. But I much appreciate your videos, God Bless you.

If you have a shady spot you can put a small pile of grass clippings or weeds and water it well i bet you can catch some worms in a week or so. good luck :)

I dug a hole under one of my pots with ground cherry tomatoes in it, I put some leaves from fall in bottom, frozen scraps, then more dead leaves. I then watered it well, put my plant back, watered it well. I will check it in 2 weeks, Thanks again! Oh! The dirt I dug out of the hole looked like pure worm castings and very soft.

How small a bin can be used for a wedge system? Can a bin that is 2 ft on the long side be used?
@PlantObsessed6 ай бұрын
I have seen people try it in totes or bus tubs. I have not had much luck. A similar idea is to only feed on one side after the bin is about 6 months old. That way one side will dry down and the worms will leave it.🪱😁👍🏼
@cheryltaft80056 ай бұрын
How often do you harvest your bins?

In the bin that is older I can harvest some about every month. In the winter I often go a few months without harvesting when they slow down. 😃👍🏼🪱

Hi Ann….. don’t know if you would have the time to help me? But I’m intrested, have been for a while in making a wedge system in a large under the bed box. I live in the uk and have autism, I know I’ve commented before but thought I should say so you can understand me a bit better. I have my box and some bedding in it in coir and worms in it, and they making castings and all that but atm it’s just in the bottom all the way across, as I can’t work out how to get them to finish one area, as when I tried to do what you show in the beginning here, the finished end was still coir, after a few months, maybe I don’t have enough worms in there but I do have 2000ish babies that I’m feeding up to put in there. They are red wigglers, should I just put the babies in there and feed them up in the larger container?
@PlantObsessed6 ай бұрын
I understand you just fine. 🤗 If it has been less than 6 months you need to wait for them to finish up. The way to get them to move is by only adding food to the side you want them to go to. After a few months of only feeding on one side they should have moved out of the old bedding. Then you can remove the finished castings. Mine are never 100% castings. It is more like vermicompost. I still see threads of coir or peat in the finished product. Ask any questions you want. I will always answer. 🪱👍🏼😃
