Hi! If you follow the rules in state around fundraising and disclose that you don’t have 501c3 status yet you should be ok. But you should raise money as an organization with a separate organization bank account.

You can still do charitable act as an LLC. The benefit of 501(c) three is access to tax free money, but there are still trade-offs. I will link a video I did on this topic

So I wanted to make a donation to this nonprofit ministry, but I was warned by a friend that it could be fraud or scammers involved. When I looked at Wikipedia corporation, I did see they had multiple ministries/ nonprofit corporations, in the state they live. Some were inactive some were active but when I looked at the directors seem as though their the same names over and over again, and there was a total of six nonprofit corporations on Wikipedia corporations why would someone need to have multiple nonprofit corporations? Is this normal or should I be suspicious?

That does seem fishy. Check with the attorney general’s office in the state to see if they’re registered to raise money. But they normally wouldn’t need multiple corporations.

Hi, nonprofits can generally operate similar to businesses to generate money but they have to be mostly mission centered activities. There are multiple ways to make money: individual donations, grants, contacts, sponsorships, earned income etc. I’ll drop some of my videos on this topic

@@BossonaBudget it's that you have to make money, but most of the time making money means exploting workers or customers who buy your products paying bigger price. I Invision non profit organizations and companies as something that doesn't exploit anyone and keep the money income and expenses completely transparent. They give pay that is fair and put any money they would make through profits into developing or improving

The convo around the benefits of a LLC vs corporation are different in the nonprofit space and only certain LLCs can get 501c3 status. Even in the for profit realm, the decision to be an LLC vs corporation are largely dependent on the owners and their needs.
