I dreamed about a podcast that I would like to listen to myself and so now I am on KZbin to learn how to do this. I am 70 years old and might have spent at most 4 to 5 hours exploring what is a podcast. I thought either I didn't know how to find a topic that held my interest or maybe I am just too old. My dream podcast went something like this. It starts with a phone call but it's the wrong number. Some ideas running through my head are a truck driver and a stay-at-home Mom. They both hang up but later the Mom thoughts drift back to the wrong number the truck driver also has thoughts about the phone call. These thoughts are only a part of the podcast the day-to-day life is as important. Sometimes more important other times less. Maybe he shares what happened on the CB. She might not think of the call again until her kids are all tucked in bed and she is trying to go to sleep. The day-to-day stuff is open to the imagination of whoever would be interested in becoming a part of this.

I think starting a podcast vs video on KZbin would be the ticket for me. Since my business is still a side hustle and I have limited hours to work on it, I think recording audio would be easier than video (especially in a shared space and with a cat lol). I just don’t know what people want to hear from me? How do you decide on a theme? I have a 40+ year colorful career plus a pretty weird life that I think could provide thought provoking content plus some good tips (don’t do what I did, basically).

Katie, Thanks for providing this wonderful information about Podcast. Is your video specified for Apple Podcast/phone only or it can be used for other brand laptops/android phone devices? Also, you have used Riverside for making videos, editing et al. Does Riverside support non-Apple products? I am new to Podcast and thinking of creating a Podcast and already spent some good amount of money for cameras, micro, etc. and not working to my expectations based on not able to do the videos through laptops even connecting from Android phone. Your videos inspired me to spend less money in a more efficient way, but not sure if if its Apple product specific. Any information is helpful. Thanks!
