Reading tarot is like being an artist learn your color scales learn your perspective learn your still life then you can branch out but get a solid foundation, if you cant drive it then your gonna hurt people and not work very long

This is different for everyone depending what country you are in so the best way to start is to call or email a citizens advice office if there is one in your location or simply Google tax for sole traders/start up businesses or income tax information followed name of your country or state. The best advice here that I can give you is, if you are truly drawn to begin a spiritual business then you must give your fear over to your Spirit team and the universe. The truth is that no matter what you do in life, you are going to offend somebody or several people anyway! The important part is that you do the things that are in alignment with who you truly are, the rest of the world can either support you or not but as long as you are fulfilled and living your truth, the judgements of others do not matter. You will always find your tribe that will support what you do and you must focus on them. Never ever fear to step into your power. The opinions and judgements of others are absolutely none of your business and that is a very beautiful thing. Focus on you and your joy and don't worry what the world thinks ❤ I hope this helps. I've been studying tarot for a year now. I understand the astrology to each card and the way it is put together in the Tree of Life pattern I am a little familiar with the hebrew letters but not quit. I have not started on spreads as of yet. I wanted to know all I could about each card. I find myself a little nervous on learning to read tarot spreads. I don't know why, but that is my next step. Any advice on getting over this nervousness on learning to read spreads? Sounds crazy, but just nervous about Spreads.

Hi there! Thank you for your comment. The best advice I can give here is have some knowledge of spreads that you like but in all honesty, my opinion is that the intention behind each card drawn is what is important. I, myself, rarely use spreads as I am intuitively drawn to a 6 card formation. If I have something specific to ask the cards I will assign an intention for each card. I would suggest doing what you are guided to do. If learning a bunch of spreads does not feel right to you, simply play around with your cards and see what comes naturally to you when you read for yourself or someone else. Our intuition is the best guide we have so do what feels good to you 😊 I hope that helps 😊

When is the best time to collect payment? It seems awkward whether it’s at the beginning or the end of the session. Where is the best to put this in the flow of the experience?

Hi Ally! Thanks for your question! Generally if doing online readings I would get payment at least 24hrs before the reading. If in person i would suggest asking for a deposit at time of booking at the very least or you can have the same rule and have payment made online in advance of the reading. The deposit option is useful for face to face reading in the event that the client doesnt show up, especially if you have travelled to a location out of your area to do the readings. Payment is always an awkward subject but regardless of how you have your payment conditions set up just make sure that you are super clear on those details. I also give a detailed email with every booking to confirm date and time of reading, the price, exactly what the client will recieve and payment details. I also send a confirmation that payment has been recieved email too so it operates like a reciept system. I hope this was helpful 😊💖

Hi Marcella! Thanks for your great question! My best advice is to find your tribe of like minded people and the best way at the moment is to look at Facebook groups or chat forums that are centred around giving and receiving readings. There are lots of fb groups that are great for starting out in so do give them a search 😊 alternatively you can set up your own fb group and offer free readings through that in your own time. It would help to set rules for your group about being respectful and that you only do limited free readings at particular days of the week. I hope this helps! Hi Mary! Thank you so much for watching! Yes there are tons of groups on Facebook right now that will allow you to join. Some admins will have requirements for you to become an approved reader under their group which may entail reading for up to 10 people and getting feedback. Alternatively you can set up you own group and advertise free readings from there. Ensure that you have boundaries, limits and/or rules on your readings so that you do not get overwhelmed or drained! This offers a great platform for you when you decide to charge for readings later and you are in control of the group. I hope this helps 😊❤

Hi there and thank you for your comment! I can completely relate to this. Always always go with your intuition when doing a reading. I personally don't use a guidebook as I found that sometimes they would conflict with my interpretation. Absolutely trust yourself and the energy from both spirit and your client. Our cards are a tool to connect with the spirit world and That really is the difference between physically reading for someone and spiritually reading for someone. Always trust yourself, you have an amazing gift so never doubt yourself. Guide books etc are simply guides. It is your channelling and intuition that make it special 😊 love and light to you 😊

There are so many wonderful courses out there for beginners. Udemy has a range of courses on there or you could check out a wonderful lady on Facebook Vivienne Cardin, she also runs a page called Spiritual and Angelic Euphoria on Facebook and Instagram. She is based in Ireland and regularly holds classes for reading Oracle and Angel cards through zoom due to covid. I would also recommend looking up Biddy Tarot as she has the most amazing hints and tips for working with Tarot cards. I hope this helps 😊

Hi Vanessa! I can only speak for Ireland but here, No you do not need to be certified for card reading to start your own business, however, it may be worth doing a couple of courses online or in person to help you with technique and channelling spirit in your readings etc. This is strictly for your own experience so that when you work with clients, you are giving them absolute quality with regard to guidance and also so that you know how to work with your own energy so that you are not drained after a session. Above all just ensure that you are confident in your abilities and if there are areas you wish to work on to strengthen your connection etc then absolutely gain that knowledge through practice and study. Also ensure that your business is registered and that you are fully tax compliant for your country. Keep an eye on this channel as I will be doing videos covering topics like this. For learning Tarot specifically I would get a beginner deck with book and study each card by highlighting the important aspects of each card. It is then simply repetition after that. Familiarise yourself with your deck and allow the energies to combine. Instinct will guide you as to what format you do your readings or what spreads you wish to use. You may even be guided to create your own spread for different readings 😊

For testing your own cards out there, you should consider doing the artwork yourself or ask the help of a graphic designer just for the purpose of getting dimensions correct for printing. The next step is to source a good printer the can deliver your vision. There are lots of printers especially in China and the U.S but do shop around for the best deal possible.
