How do set up a toy rotation for different genders and ages? I have an almost three year old and an infant and was wondering if they can share a shelf or should I make 2 shelves. Thanks so much for all that you do love your content so much!! Blessings ❤️

This is a great question! On Friday I'll be sharing the rotation model I used when we had one and two babies, and then when we had a toddler we switched our system - it is tricky to balance the different genders, ages, preferences, developmental stages. In general, we tell our kids "All of our toys are meant for everyone" (so the dolls are even meant for the boys and the cars for the girls as well, etc.) Of course they all gravitate toward their own interests. We've had a small toy shelf that can fit 2-4 toys in each of the kid's room before and that worked well! They managed a self-directed toy rotation within their own rooms. As far as the baby is concerned, we keep a small basket of infant toys in the living room and rotate them periodically. All other "big kid toys" either in rooms or the playroom! I hope that helps!
