Hey Saimah! I am not sure if you are aware or not but it appears that human traffickers and drug traffickers have been using our cars here in Arizona. Several of us have raised this concern to Turo but our voice is not as extensive as yours. I am wondering if you get the chance to raise this issue with Turo, as far as I can tell this has been going on for a while and our cars are getting seized by border patrol. Maybe you can even do a video on this to raise awareness

I honestly won’t like someone behind the wheels of my personal vehicle. I would rather buy a vehicle that I am personally not attached to and put it on TURO. This way if customers fuck up the car, I won’t be upset. If they messed up my personal car, I would be very pissed..

Great advice. The one thing I don't quite get is the perspective on "leasing cars". I know that Saimah mentioned leasing in another video as well, saying that she's adjusted her strategy "from buying to leasing cars for listing on Turo". But leasing comes with restricted mileage and costly fees for going over that limit. Given the probability that a rental car will far exceed typical private car mileage, wouldn't you be setting yourself up for significant costs at end of lease? Which could cancel out all or much of the profit previously gained on the car. There could also possibly be usage restrictions in lease contracts these days that disallow listing the car on a ride share platform like Turo. I'm no expert on leasing. I've only ever leased one vehicle and that was well before there were services like Turo. And while I recognize that leasing is well suited for most business purposes (for several reasons), I'm not sure it makes sense for THIS kind of business. What am I missing? Any thoughts on this?

Great content! I just bought out my lease (along w/ an extended warranty) so I can rent it on Turo. The residual value was underestimated what it would be worth AND I still had 9k miles left unused at the end of my lease, both thanks to COVID. So, I wanted to take advantage of the positive equity. Anywho, is there a way around using my vehicle registration on the Turo platform without exposing my full name & personal home address, besides obtaining the vehicle through a business entity? Also, in the event of a something like a flat tire while the vehicle is rented out, whose responsibility is it to put the spare on?

Quick asterisk to add, speaking from my previous experience working in banking; the way your bank will roll you off that secured credit card can vary and some won’t per say. In those cases you just have to wait until you feel you have built up enough good history to try and get a traditional non secured card and decided if you want to close the original one to get your deposit back

My question is would location play a big factor in they type of car you rent out and the amount of rental it would generate? Turo's customer service left me stranded five hundred miles from my house. I called them to get a jumpstart that never showed up. They kept losing my request in their computer. Anyway, after four hours, I called an Uber and went to the AutoZone and bought a battery to install in the truck so I could finish my business trip. Horrible service, they've given me five "how did we do" surveys, and they haven't even acknowledged it. Pathetic. It was the worst rental experience of my life!

I started with my Tesla Model 3 which I already have in September and slowly added 2 more vehicles (mustang mach e, and dodge Grand caravan) so far, it has been great. Just crossed my $ 10,000 CAD milestone. I'm thinking to increase my fleet to about 10 next year and planning to incorporate it. I have a question for you tho..
