My wife has been in Hospital Administration (Credentialing, Executive Assistant to CEO and CMOs) now for over 15 years. She is such a hard worker and has tons of good connections within the healthcare industry. She is currently working for a staffing agency that is very active in outsourcing and laying off their workers. They slashed performance bonuses (that we depended on a great deal) and she just feels lucky to have a job and works every day just being scared she will be next on the chopping block. I really want to help her start her own staffing/credentialing business but I have no clue where to even begin. We have looked at a couple franchises but they have high investment requirements and territorial limits. I don't think you have to be a nurse or ex-nurse to do this business but I am determined to help her succeed. She works so hard making other people money and I want to help her make her own legacy.

"Niching" down was very helpful for me. Like Catie said, it is very obvious to do now. Not only can it be easier to get into facilities, it will be much cheaper to market. I have a background in SEO, Marketing and advertising; broad keywords are (usually) more expensive than specific keywords.
