Hi there, you can do both by creating a specialized profile. Your general profile is the original Upwork profile you created before we launched specialized profiles. As always, your general profile will include the title you created, your overview, your rate, all of your Upwork work history, the skills you chose to list, the skills test you’ve completed, etc. For your specialized profile, you can highlight your expertise. You’ll create a unique title and description, have the option to set another rate, and also be able to show only the Upwork contracts and portfolio items that are most relevant to that particular expertise. For example, you can separate out the work you’ve done as an Android developer from your work as a translator. We hope this helps!

I had a meeting with my client today and he wanted to recruit more team members. I proposed to them that I have my team with me and we can hire them through my Upwork agency profile to which the client agreed. I had an agency profile on my account and I tried adding team members but was unable to do so because I was on a basic plan. To upgrade to Agency Plus I added a payment method and tried purchasing Connects with the debit card I added but the payment didn't go through. I added another card to make a purchase so that I can upgrade to agency plus and tried purchasing connects with the new debit card added as the billing method but Upwork suspended my account. I have submitted an account suspension appeal, can you please let me know how long will it take to get my account back? Secondly, how I can add a payment card and purchase connects because the client just posted the job and now waiting for my team members to apply? If you see this comment, please reply immediately because this is a big thing for me because my agency is gonna start after 2 years of working on Upwork.

Just know that if you start an agency, and try to hire another Upwork person as a part of your agency, that Upwork person CAN NOT have their own clients, which is b.s. It's exactly what happened to me. Because I have active clients/contracts ongoing, I cannot be added to an agency. Not sure why Upwork doesn't want the extra $$. Thumbs down Upwork.
