Instead of a plastic bag, I cut the end of a finger off a rubber glove and used that. Worked great all summer. 😎👍👍

@@leonwilliams5099 The unit the bulb goes on, comes apart. When you put it back together, just make sure the rubber finger goes around the whole outer edge. Then, when you screw the pieces back into place, it should hold the "finger bulb" in place.

Yeah, i get it!. Clever initiative. I would highly recommend that you all trying this method Cut out a piece of the Plastic you are attempting to use as a "gasket" and pour some Gasoline on it and rub it in with your fingers so that you can Feel if the plastic is "tolerant" to gasoline or if it is somewhat melting(smearing on your fingers) as this would sure mean that you will end up with dissolved plastic inside your carburetor and that is not a good thing. You know what i mean. I just want you ALL to have a Blast all the time every day, ALL day, And not have to clean out the carburetor from plastic as it would sure be annoying. 🙂😇🥰😄

I'm restoring a weed eater motor to put on a giant rc plane, when the primer bulb broke i didn't know what to do because my parents weren't going to the store any time soon but thanks, ill see if it works! also id problably take two pieces of plastic (Stack two) so it would be stronger

I was going to use a disposable surgical glove , cut the end off a finger . I think they're resistant to most stuff . . . . Then found out it's one of those clip in bulbs , a pain in the r's . Why did they bring those bulbs in anyway , just to sell spares I guess . Priming it the old way was fine by me and you didn't have the trouble with these failing . Any time they've saved you is then lost anyway .

Stop leaving the weed eater in the sun. The bubble dries and cracks after just a couple of hours in the sun. Lubricate the bubble, lightly on the outer part of the bubble.

found out you dont really need to the primer bulb. ran my weed eater by just using the choke to start it and it worked

I was running my blower without a primer bulb for a year. I just stuck a plastic bottle cap over it to seal it. I eventually put a new primer bulb on it and it just gave me more problems starting it up and it won't stay running. Choke does indeed work much better! I just have to clean the carb out now, and never use a dumb primer bulb ever again!
