From someone who’s been cloth diapering for about 3 years (mom of 7 with one on the way so soon to be 8) I love this video!!! It’s truly helpful. Thank you 😭💕

I'm so thankful I watched your video before starting my cloth diapering journey. You gave me so much info & taught me things I didn't know. I love this, you explain everything so very well. Thank you 💜

In the UK there are nappy libraries run by volunteers that hire newborn kits and btp trial kits so you can try before you buy. UK cloth nappy network is insured and follows sanitisation regimes between uses :)

I got the pockets for my oldest and loved them for him but then didn't work as well for my second son i really fell in love with the cover and prefolds it just so easier to wash and dry

I WISH I would have followed #1. I bought an entire NB stash from someone and it was all happy Beebinds newborn microfiber AIOs and then for OS I bought an entire stash of Mama Koala (with their microfiber inserts) 🤦🏽‍♀️I regretted it as soon as I started. I hadn't done any research prior and was just looking for something cheap. I wish I would have gotten covers and flats or covers and prefolds from the beginning

I like thinking about the basics, even though I have tons of diapers and boosters. This summer, my third arrives. All have been cloth diapered since the newborn stage, but cute prints and new styles tempt me.

I got great deal on a lot of 55 of different types on ebay just last month. They came with extra liners too. 155 plus I think 25ish for shipping. Differently be done cheap.

This is interesting. I have a lot of good experience with microfiber. We don't have a dryer and microfiber dries super fast even in winter. However, I don't use it exclusively as it is not as absorbent especially for nighttime use.

I'm glad it works for your family! Microfiber overnight can really cause issues because the diapers will be really saturated and sitting in pee for a long amount of time. And in the long run, especially if you want to cloth diaper more than one kiddo, microfiber isn't the best investment.

Do you use the Burt’s Bees diaper ointment with zinc with a liner or is it fine directly against the diaper? I’m using GMD prefolds and flats. Loving cloth with my 6 week old! Thanks! 😊

I know there are conflicting opinions about zinc oxide and cloth diapers, but I've been using this paste for years without a liner without problems. 👍

Please if you can do a video on cloth diapering in the nb stage with the emphasis on os diapers not necessarily fitting from birth. I wanted to start right away but I was foolish in thinking my os diapers would fit from birth. The brand I went with (Lilhelpers) made a ton of videos showing tips and tricks on how to get the diapers to fit from birth and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get the diapers to fit. Also their diapers (at the time May still be idk) had charcoal bamboo with microfiber on the inside and so I was hit with a double whammy of not only did my diapers not fit right but I kept getting leaks and I couldn’t make heads or tails of what was happening and what I was doing wrong. 😩 that was so disheartening especially being postpartum because I was so excited to start I carefully budgeted to get a full stash of diapers convinced hubby to be on board watched a ton of videos of people singing their praises. So when they didn’t work I totally was devastated😭 I seriously almost gave up. Thankfully my hubby said to me one day after buying the 2nd box of disposable within weeks of her being born “maybe you should buy smaller diapers?” So glad he did I went right on Amazon and purchased imagine bamboo nb aio and a Thirsties and a few others to try I was able to return what I didn’t like and buy more of what I did and thankfully I was successful and fell in love with cloth diapering. Thank you if you’ve read all of this. I just felt that some background would be helpful. 💕

I'm so glad you didn't give up! I know it can be frustrating when things don't work out as you expected, especially after doing all the research. That's a good video idea. I know newborn videos are really helpful, but it's hard to remember everything once you're out of the newborn stage 🤣. I will add it to my list though and go back to my old videos to help my memory.

@@lainaslife6351 yes I know! I’m looking back to old pics and videos when mine was in the nb stage and also watching a ton of nb cloth diapering videos to help me refresh for this little one due in a few months 💕 Thanks so much for reading my long winded comment and getting back to me. 💕

What advice do you have for a mommy that turns back to disposable diapers because it’s so much more convenient but I also love my cloth diaper stash!! And I love cloth diapering but I also get lazy sometimes and feel like I can’t keep up with laundry so I reach for disposable diapers. I can’t not buy any disposable diapers since I feel I need to have them on hand. It’s a struggle!!

Using cloth only at home can be a good option. If you are going to the store, just keep disposables in the diaper bag, etc. Or using cloth during the day, but disposables at nighttime is a great trade off too. But if the issue is keeping up on laundry, then I think a streamlined stash makes a big difference. If you have all the same inserts, flats, etc it makes laundry much faster than sorting out which inserts go with which covers or AIOs, etc. Hope that helps. ❤️

For me I find I'm far more succinct when I leave room for disposables. Life is about balance. We use disposables when we travel and at night. When I try to do cloth during night or travel I start to really not enjoy it and don't want to do it at all.

The diapers I’m not crazy about I keep in the diaper bag so I don’t have to keep packing diapers every time I leave the house.
