Thank you for giving me a place to start. This video was so informative. At 60 years old I have taken the first step in creative journaling today using a simple note book, my fountain pen that I was given for school, some cheap felt tips from a supermarket, junk mail, old photos and a magazine.

I just found your channel and I'm sitting here sobbing. When you search for journaling, all kinds of crazy things come up. My dad passed away in September and I'm journaling multiple times everyday. It's so nice to know I'm not alone. Your videos seem to cover so many feelings, times of year, etc. I also have all the "things" so you're meeting me where I am. I can't thank you enough. PS I just joined the free tier of patreon. I've never tried a group before but this may be a good fit🙂

Even though I've been journalling for a couple of years I always enjoy having a look at what's current. You gave great advice for beginners! I love the way you discuss everything in a calm, easy to understand manner... You mentioned if we have tips: my only thought is to suggest swatching the pens you have; it gives you accurate colours & also gives you a feel for how the pens work (drying time), ease of use (scratchy or not), whether they bleed through with the Journal you chose. You will then know if the Journal you purchased is suitable for the supplies you have &/or want to use. TFS your wisdom & have a wonderful 2024, regards Sally💜

This was fantastic! I found it very helpful. I have a Sprocket that prints 2x3 pictures. Do you think the little printer you showed would be a better choice? The Sprocket doesn't print super clear photos, but it also doesn't need ink...
@MyAbidingJournal11 ай бұрын
Thank you!! The Canon Selphy doesn't use ink either. When you buy the photo paper, it comes with cartridges that have the exact amount needed to print that number of photos. I've never tried the Sprocket myself, but I do believe the canon selphy will give you better quality prints AND it's a big cost savings per photo because you can print multiple photos on each sheet of 4x6 photo paper instead of paying for each individual 2x3 photo with the sprocket. Hope that helps!

Yes, I do think you can bring your own paper, including sticker paper, to print shops to get printed there. I would recommend calling ahead and asking if they will print on your paper :) You also can print on plain white paper and use glue or double-sided tape. Many people do that too
