Love this so much! I've been editing for only around 3 years so I'm still classified as a beginner, and I've been switching between capcut (my easy/safe space i know i can use) and ae (scary and overwhelming) for a couple months in hopes I can feel comfortable using ae to its full potential someday:)

as someone who's had to move to capcut because I don't have enough money to afford anything else(😭), it really isn't a bad editing software! It's so helpful for beginners and I've even been able to learn new things to sort of get me prepared to use After Effects. I also don't understand why people make fun of anyone who uses capcut or any of the free apps for that matter because it's not our fault we can't afford After Effects (I'd love to be able to use ae, I JUST DONT HAVE THE MONEY) But yeah, anyways! I completely agree with you on your opinion on capcut and thank you for this video! Just felt like spewing some nonsense in the comments

I use CapCut and Alight Motion and I feel like alight motion is very close to ae bc they have some of the same stuff and also I’ve seen ppl edit on alight motion and make it look like ae

I've started editing with capcut, then alight motion and now video star. I really want to move on after effects but this is really confusing for me i don't understand anything, may have you done a guide or smth for after effetcs? This would be very helpful. I also wanna start vfx edit but i can't see any tutorials that is not about cinema effects.

No way you put alight motion to the last. As a former capcut user, alight motion is after effects for mobiles

@@thorified1234 correct but this video is for beginners. Realistically CapCut is easier to understand, hence it may be better for beginners.

@@filmsbytati Capcut is great, no doubt. But the next step you should do as a beginner is to go for am, video star is way more complicated. Funimate can also work. If you want to get after effects style edits, then alight motion all the way. And it’s not that complicated either.
