Awesome video. I am small KZbinr, and I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

@@rubylimey7614 Thank you! What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd be able to gain more than 2k subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my KZbin channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a KZbinr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this KZbin thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! hahha I have NOT mastered being on camera at all lolol I am an actor so I love being other people and playing characters but KZbin has been so different bc its just you turning the camera on yourself and you have to be authentic and real. haha its actually so hard especially bc I'm so used to being a character in front of cameras for films but I want to portray truth in my storytelling through my own life on my platform. It can be hard to not get stage fright being yourself. Practice makes perfect I guess.

🧡 Annie, thank you for the encouragement and positivity. I’ve taken so many videos and photos since being told “hey, you should start a channel,” but after all of the excitement of these life experiences, filming and wanting to share, I remained stuck in that ‘I’m not ready’ phase. Being told to start before I’m ready, focusing on sharing what I love and not worrying about perfection, is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you!!! 🙏🏻 Time to get started! 🙌

Thank you for this video!! My biggest concern is how much of a perfectionist I am, so I’m worried that what I put out won’t be enjoyable. After watching this video, I feel a little more encouraged. I’m hoping to start posting covers before this year ends 🧡🧡

Thank you for this video. I really needed it. My biggest issue is not being constant and lack of motivation, though i wanna make videos and share my fun life but sometimes i just don't get the courage to do so! I was thinking about uploading videos for 2 years and now i finally got the courage to upload at least one video. I'll try my best from now on and again THANK YOU so much. Lots of LOVE for you 🧡 .

🧡🧡Thank you for this insightful video, Annie! I just started my channel after being away from the KZbin scene for awhile! I used to have a channel before but honestly, I felt like I was doing it more for the monetary side of it and focusing on the numbers. 6 years later and I'm deciding to create my channel centered on everything totally different haha. But thank you for these encouraging words! 🧡🧡

🧡 all of these tips are spot on. The last one for sure as well. I know that as I keep doing I will get better, find more of my style. But you will never get there if you don't just start. My first investment will be a wireless mic that I can attach to my phone as well and am looking at the Rhode II.

Thank you for this advice!! I've slowly been working on my channel and I'm having a lot of fun with it. But the pressure I put on myself to be successful is real. 😅 I'm especially mulling over the part where you suggested audience over niche. I do have an idea of who I want to create videos for but I kept trying to push myself into a smaller niche. I want to create videos for people who long to travel but can't and show how you can still find diverse cultural experiences in your own city. Now I have something to brainstorm and work on. Thank you!! 🧡

Oh wow. I used to think it was a bit awkward for taking this path of starting before I was ready - with zero equipments, except for my phone and ideas for content. I figured that waiting to have everything all planned out and ready could impact negatively on my drive. Now, I am growing my channel, looking to improve on something everyday and learning on the go. Thanks for putting this out.

Thank you for your encouragement and sound advice. The biggest hurtle to me starting is trying to meet all of the recommendations for starting my own channel, while also worrying how I am going to do this while working full-time and things like that. But now I realize, I just need to start and go from there. I already have a good solid idea of some topics I would like to cover, and I will start off by focusing on having fun and enjoying the process. 😃

Hey Annie, thank you so much for this video and all the great advice that you gave, it really summed up where I'm at today with my own KZbin channel! I really needed to hear that, especially about how creatives should create for themselves without having necessarily an audience in mind. I've been creating music videos that don't represent me as an music composer, and I've been wanting to do things my way this time! I've also been practicing speaking in front of my camera (it's totally weird for sure 💀), BUT I've found that talking to the camera as if it were a person with which I'm having a conversation with was very helpful (for me at least). Anyways, thanks so much 😋
