Is it helpful to change thumbnails and titles for videos that are a month or older?

Thank you for your kind words! I try my best to always give value in each video. Glad to have you as a part of my community. ❤️ For your question, in the past I definitely noticed a difference when I went back to older videos (1-2 months old) and changed my title or thumbnail. It's especially helpful if I also go back and respond to comments from that video at the same time OR share that video out to my community posts/other social media networks for an extra boost. I haven't done this method in quite some time, so it could no longer work - but I think it's worth a try. Try it out for 1-2 videos and monitor it over a week or so to see if anything changes. & let me know!

Also, I saw your previous question, and I'm not sure what would make subscribers fall like that, unless those people deleted their KZbin accounts / they were spam or bots and KZbin could've removed them / or they unsubscribed for whatever reason. Subscribers can sometimes fluctuate & I try my best to not worry about it too much. My best advice is to either note what actions you took right before it happened (posted a different type of video, etc), OR just continue to move forward and focus on the new subscribers that are coming in

It’s what you see before you click and watch a video. 100K is amazing 👏🏾👏🏾 if cooking got that much attention, then maybe do another cooking video where you’re talking or add a voiceover and share a motivating story of some sort. Then if that also does well, you can transition to more motivation focused content instead of cooking. But maybe cooking is the vehicle that allows you to get seen & you can talk about whatever you want while cooking. Just a thought 😊

How do u get good sound quality?

@@helloleylaz I personally record with a microphone in front of me that’s sitting on my desk (you can sometimes see it in my videos, but usually not). That microphone is hooked up via USB to my laptop while I’m filming my videos. When I’m editing I just sync up my video footage to that microphone recording. My videos from early last year were horrible - my sound echoed sooo bad. So this helped me!

Heyyy Nataleh! Question: So what does the process look like for someone who is trying to remonetize their channel? Like what are the criteria for that if you already had the 4k watch hrs and the 1k subs. I haven’t got there yet but I was just curious to how that process works to get back monetized like what does YT look for?

Hey Juan!! You just have to hit those requirements again & you'll automatically be eligible once KZbin recognized you hit the threshold. So if you already have 1k subs, you're good there! You just need to work on having 4,000 watch hours in a year. You'll only lose your monetization if you happen to fall below 1,000 subs OR you don't continually have 4,000 watch hours in a years time.

I changed my content to more self development, self love etc… I’ve noticed that topics similar to mine have a minimal thumbnail, but the person has over 100k subscribers. I find what works for channels with larger subscribers don’t work for smaller channels. Any advice?

This is a great observation! Have you tested out using minimal thumbnails? When I’m doing my research for each video I do try to screenshot well performing videos from both small channels & bigger channels so I can make sure I’m getting the most accurate data! Then I’ll try my best to create thumbnails that are similar to both sets of videos & that’s when I get into testing mode. Have you checked your CTR to be sure it’s your thumbnail that’s the problem? Have you tried different titles for your videos to see how’d that do? For each video, I’ll test different titles / thumbnails every 12-24 hours for about 4-5 days.
