Please Note: I'm not encouraging never learning music theory. You have to, at some point, at least learn or familiarize yourself with the basics to be able to improve the work you do. All I am saying is this is a great tool for those who want to get started in making music now but don't have the ability to play piano, guitar, program drums, etc etc. If you want to create, you should be able to. Arcade makes that possible. Let it be the tool that starts you out, and then continue the journey yourself once you learn proper music theory.

Yes. I already have a PRO, I’ve been with SESAC for 12 years and I already know about the copyright site. The stolen work was stuff uploaded to my channel prior or previews that artists chopped up and flipped to pretend they made it. I’ve already spoken with my lawyer about take downs and other actions I can take. Some of it I can handle, some of it takes time & money. Which Makes it difficult for me for the time being. So I just stopped posting them online.

Absolutely…use the tools available to you. There is so much you can accomplish with little no music theory understanding. I would still however encourage anyone who really wants to dive into production to get at least a basic understanding of chords, chord progressions, key signatures and rhythm. It will take your ability to use the tool to a different level. Keep creating!

BRUUUHHH!! I just copped Arcade yesterday and was honestly a little reluctant when I saw $10/mo... but after what I just saw in this video??? YOU CAN'T PUT A PRICE on that level of capability this software provides-especially for an autodidact who never went to music school, such as myself. And that beat though?? THAT BEAT??! you DID THAT, bro!! KILLLLLLLEERRRRRR! Hands-down best live beat production result I've ever seen on youtube. And I've seen a lot lol. Good to see a fellow producer who doesn't run to the safety of another typical trap beat. ✊🏾 #subbed

"Oh this beat is sick" "Oh that beat is cold" " Oh that's tight" "If I had this when I was 20 I'd be a billionaire" One of the more stupid products sold to people who can't music but want to be a SoundCloud rapper. This and that midi pack are going to end up making a lot of shit music
@kandr214004 жыл бұрын
I got Arcade around the time it first came out, and I absolutely love it. It's fun to just goof around, and just experiment with it. The only dilemma I have is that since it IS a loop synthesizer, I can't do an entire track for commercial and advertising music, because using too many loops is not good for production music. Arcade is ALL THAT for composing full music tracks for streaming, radio, and so on. But you CAN use bits and pieces of the loops in production music. It's just frowned upon to compose an entire track of loops only.
@IAMLXGEND4 жыл бұрын
Who cares if it’s frowned at. That’s the way i think. Lol. Does it sound good or not? 🤷🏾♂️ honestly that’s all I care about. Sometimes I use no loops at all and other times I’ll use a bunch. Just depends.
@kandr214004 жыл бұрын
@@IAMLXGEND I'm with you. I believe I can compose THOUSANDS of tracks with just Arcade alone. I'm just saying, being that I'm new to composing for film and television, going by the "rules" , it's laid out that you CAN use loops in production music, but use them sparingly.

Dude, you're a funny guy - that wakeup routine was me two hours ago. I just subscribed to Output Arcade this morning. I came up with the Acid Pro/Sound Forge way of loop-writing so I'm confident I'll get this. I started playing piano at 7 & guitar at 12 and learned music theory all through that time, then re-studied it on my own later on. Learning music theory is worth the effort. I wont write with anyone who can't speak the language - time is money. Too many producers use excuses when they're just too lazy to bother.

Im pretty good at playing instruments but when creating music if anything can make your job easier and quicker its a god send cause you can explore things you may not have thought about by hearing a patch especially when most of the harmonies/melodies humans like to hear is narrow. Its why all the music we hear repeats itself, its just shaped differently.

The only real problem is that unless you bring in your own samples, everyone else has access to the exact same kits/lines. At that point, you might as well just use a plain ol sampler plugin. You do get the modifier keys in this, but I dunno. I have the trial subscription. We'll see. GREAT vid, though!
@staticklingon21823 жыл бұрын
That's what i was thinking watching this. The music he made was awesome but if you've ever used a loop based program, you'll INSTANTLY recognize any of those vocals or piano loops you use, even if you have a few modifiers. My first CD was made with Sonic Foundry Acid Loops (later bought by Sony) and I used to recognize little things all the time that people would use from the library. The most notable one was a disk scratch that was used in Saliva's Click Click Boom. Also, more recently, I made a song on garage band and was instantly hit with a copyright claim because one section of my song was identical to a song on youtube, even though it was a royalty-free mix. It's super fun to play with but not original enough to be taken seriously. I might still get a controller and play with it because it's fun as hell.
@IAMLXGEND3 жыл бұрын
The modifier keys are merely one aspect. You can also change what point of the sample you want. Where it starts playing. Where it ends. The 4 filter effects to customize the sound. The key changes. The bpm. Half time. Double time. There are way too many variables. If you’re using Arcade and getting something that sounds recognizable to someone else’s song or beat, 99.9999999% of the time... you’re not using it right. Bringing in your own samples adds does lower this chance. However, I don’t at all think it’s absolutely necessary as there are not only hundreds (if not thousands) of kits available but also thousands of variations to these thousands of kits at your fingertips. You just have to experiment and not be lazy with it.
@staticklingon21823 жыл бұрын
@@IAMLXGEND Awesome. Thanks for the reply. I've been talking music with my buddy and I think this plus a controller may be our way to start for fun. Did Output ever sponsor you or send a referral code / link? You're winning people over for them left and right lol.
