How to start roadbook rally navigation - RallyMoto CannonBall challenge

Join me on a one day adventure doing the RallyMoto CannonBall challenge. If you have ever found yourself tempted to try Dakar style roadbook navigation before then this is an event for you. You just need an an android tablet and a road legal bike. This video I ride my Harley-Davidson Pan America on the 425km CannonBall challenge with Gab's of Rally Moto
Who's game for a ride? The route starts in north Wales and wiggles across the country down to south wales with some epic scenes! The roads, the landscape, the ride. It's epic! 425km of it to be precise. You can sign up and get the navigation yourself...you just need a bike and Android device. Who's tried roadbook before?
I also talk through a little more on how to read roadbook in this video. I hope you enjoy! Oh and who is going to try and beat our completion time?

That’s a great road book for navigation! Back in the 70’s and early 80’s, when we raced the ISDE Two Day Qualifier Series here in the Eastern USA 🇺🇸, our navigation tool was a paper route roll chart! Similar, but very archaic I guess!!! Lol…. Thanks for sharing this! Ride safe Vanessa! :)

Yeah its the paper scroll I used for Tunisia and Morocco. So hilarious that We still use it given all the technology. but it really is fun

I have been using the electronic road book on both my wr250 and my ktm 950 here in the USA for over a year. You can buy a blue tooth volume control cheap on ebay and put it on your handle bars to page up or down. I just write my own road book with software from Rally Navigator.

Excellent video. Would you happen to know if they hv something like this in the US? I researched it and it brings me to the cannonball run. Which runs across the US from NYC to LA. I'm not trying to do all that. Lol. But a rally for a day or two is definitely doable. As long as it's paved roads lol 😊😂.

This is an app by rally moto uk on a random androids tablet so not a specific road book holder 💪

For roadbook it is all paper mapping so no need for internet. But if you would like to stay connected to the outside world I use eSims from a company called EasySimGlobal
