please share your time table and how for how long did u prepare for GMAT?
@YourMBABuddy4 жыл бұрын
I took a year to prepare with multiple attempts and a good amount of break in between those attempts. But mostly I prepared for 3 months for both of the serious attempts. So a total of 6-7 months of preparation. Apart from that, I didn't have a time table as such, but I had an approach of giving almost equal study time to quant and verbal in a week. So if I spent a day studying verbal, I'll make sure that I study quant the next day or day after. It is important to study for the entire week than just on weekends and give almost equal attention to both the sections.

@@YourMBABuddy Just one more thing... was there any specific number of hours for which u studied whenever you got time to study? like 3-4hr per day like that?

Thank you for the video. I’m just starting my preparation for the GMAT, I am an intermediate english speaker, never studied in english, and can’t order all the material online. Will it be possible for me to succeed ? Do you have any suggestions of helpful free material online. Does the GMAT prep book exist in a free pdf version ? I am very lost and i don’t where to start, your help will be much appreciated.

I'm sure you'll do well :) You can join various FB groups where in the resources section you will most likely get the resources you are looking for. Also GMATClub is great portal to scout for free resources.

Can you elaborate a little on the error log part. I actually didn't understand that part.
@YourMBABuddy4 жыл бұрын
An error log is like a central place where you keep a record of all the questions that you got wrong and the reasons behind it. It helps you understand the weaker areas that need more effort before you write your exam. It might seem tedious at first but will save you a lot of time in the long run. If I have to suggest you a few fields that you can put in excel and use it right away, then it would be these - [Date | Question No. | Book Quant/Verbal | Problem Type | Topic | Error Reason | To Do | Note | *Review] *Review - Noting that next time when you solved the question, did you get it right or wrong? Also, you can look at more advanced formats on the internet. I hope it helps :)

It depends on how organized one is. But, if I have to suggest you a few fields that you can put in excel and use it right away, then it would be these - [Date | Question No. | Book Quant/Verbal | Problem Type | Topic | Error Reason | To Do | Note | *Review] *Review - Noting that next time when you solved the question, did you get it right or wrong? Im planning to give the exam in Feb. Can you please share the study plan?
@YourMBABuddy3 жыл бұрын
I think I'm late in replying your query. I hope you have started your preparation. I'd say start with the concepts from the book of your liking. Then go on to solve OG questions. Do not mind solving them multiple times if required (it is not a time waste). Maintain an error log and keep revising the concepts. All the best!

Hey! Thanks alot for this information in this very simple manner:) I'm a bio student I completed my 12th with bio as my main stream, but now I'm about to start preparing for GMAT, can you please help answer me how should I start preparing, I mean what books and material from basics because I don't have a math background, please answer my query:)
@YourMBABuddy3 жыл бұрын
Start with Manhattan books. I think they cover mostly all the concepts that you need on the exam. And when you become better in quants, you can start solving the official guides and questions on GMATClub.

Do I need to take coachings for gmat? Or just books are enough for my preparation
@YourMBABuddy3 жыл бұрын
It really depends upon your current expertise and the timeline that you are targeting. It would be very difficult for me to comment without knowing these two variables.
