Transplanting tomato plants several times while they are small will give you a stronger, healthier tomato plant with amazing root structure.
At first plant in a shallow container. Once the tomatoes are 4 to 6 inches tall with their first set up true leaves you can transplant them into individual pots and plant then up to their first set of false leaves. You can break them off as well.
Once the plant is 8 inches or taller you can again bury half the plant in a separate pot. after this transplant the growth is insane. the plants will reach 12 to 24 inches over the next one to two weeks depending on growing conditions.
The next step will be getting them into the ground or larger pots if you plant to have a container garden.
This final planting you should again bury a large portion of the plant.
Your plants are now ready to shoot off to the sky!
